Test Thread: Back in the U.S.A.
Beatrice had been sent straight to New York from her last assignment. The instructions had felt abrupt, but these things happened sometimes. First among her strangely half-hearted instructions was bringing a few files on her last job to Nicolai, as an intellectual exercise, his mother claimed. She called him up.

"Aside from recon trips to Madripoor and Rumekistan, I've mostly been helping out at the main office, doing local legwork with Paladin....who's gone from his usual flippant self to strangely overprotective ever since his daughter disappeared. It's kind of sad."

She wondered how well her father would take her disappearing -- actually disappearing, not just Working. Probably not well. But who knew?

	“At least it can be said he’s handling it better than my mother if I disappeared,” Nicolai said. It was a rather scary though as to what she might do.
