If he trusted her she would call him a fool. He can't until she's free and clear of the men blackmailing her.
"I know but I can try."
Now that has her smirking up at him. "I should steal something interesting just so you'll frisk me," she purrs playfully up at him. Her eyes are twinkling in amusement at the idea.
"And if I'm not up there..." Her eyes wander over to where she sees a change of clothes. "You might just find me curled up in this bed wearing one of your shirts Robin."
That's an evil thing to say.
