Enjoying the feeling of her arms around him he deepens the kiss and pulls her closer. It occurs to him that all this stretching on her part might reopen the wounds so he picks her up and breaks the kiss briefly. "I thought the stretching might be hurting you so..." He explains, not wanting her to get the wrong impression about what he's doing.
