"Oh they're not together, my parents," she said. "I was the result of a fling and they didn't get married." Though they didn't marry, Maria never lacked for love from either parent and they got along reasonably well with each other.
Maria nodded. "Bruce wouldn't be Bruce if he didn't have verification protocols. Come on. Let's get you inside, let Bruce make you do a song and a dance to prove who you are, get you cleaned up and get you a room."
