Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

	He sighs a bit and hugs her tighter, "I...missed you too." Although at the next part he pulls back and actually holds her at arms length just so he can see her face to be sure she's serious because she was sounding insane, "What? What are you talking about? 	"Yes I'm aware," he deadpans. "But that means I'm mad at you and...well hurt but I don't hate you. It'd be pretty hard for me to hate you to be honest. Are you feeling okay?" He looks at her curiously, maybe there was something else causing her to act funny. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Robin. I'm almost five months pregnant, I can't keep food down as much as I'd like, my hip constantly hurts and I've only slept thirteen hours in the past four days. There's no way I feel okay." 	"Just checking. You thought I hated you so I wasn't sure..." He gets off the couch and gives her a small wry smile, "Those are only acceptable sleeping hours if you keep my kind of schedule." 	There's a frown her way now as he makes his way to her kitchen, "What kind of crazy?" He fishes through her fridge for some ingredients, there's not much, and starts on the sandwich all while keeping an eye on her to make sure she didn't run. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I was being good and out of trouble, right? Someone accused me of smuggling illegal goods half way through my trip." She's fairly annoyed by that. "I had to set people straight and almost blew my traveling cover ID over that. I was very annoyed by that." She has the look of someone who is very tired. 	"Okay, I guess. Pregnancy doesn't really agree with me. I keep getting stuck places because I forget my belly will get in the way," she admits sheepishly before she starts on the food. 	"It's partly my fault," she points out. "I was on the pill but ran out at some point before I could get more packs. I should have been more careful on my end." "It's my fault. I screwed up," he continues as if he hadn't heard her at all. "Shouldn't have happened at all." He runs his fingers through his hair and puts his head in his hands trying to figure out how he'd managed to screw everything up so badly. "I'm sorry for screwing everything up Sarah. I didn't mean..." He can't even finish that and just sighs and stares at the floor.

She sets aside the food and gently pulls Robin into another hug. What else is she supposed to do?

"It's not so bad now. I came back. We'll.... figure this out. It's going to be fine Robin," she tells him sounding much more calm than he probably feels. She's still utterly terrified that things won't go right but she's trying to help him and herself by thinking positive.

He lets her pull him into a hug but continues to stare at the floor, clearly displeased with himself. He felt like such a failure, somehow never being good enough or screwing up in some way. Why couldn't things just go his way for once?

She only gets a grunt in response. He's a pessimist at heart, and really he doesn't need much help with that right now, not in this situation.

She wishes she could do something. Anything to try and pull him out of this mood he has thrown himself into. She does get an idea. Slowly she tugs one of his hands down to put it on her stomach.

"This.... isn't a bad thing you know. Sure he does seem to enjoy keeping me up at night but pfft, who needs sleep?" She tries to smile at him a little. "This will be fine. Seriously."

	"It's not like either of us had a normal sleep schedule to begin with," he replies, still clearly sullen but trying at least to cheer up for her. She was trying for him, at least he could do the same for her. Oh. It hits him for a split second later. It's a boy. "...any name ideas?"
