Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

	He does wonder what she's doing now, but he decides to finish at least one wall before going to check on her. After the first coat of one wall is done, very well he'll proudly think, he leaves the room to go find what she's up to. And if she's kept out of trouble. With her you never knew. Cleaning up had turned into a sneezing fit in the kitchen because one of the cabinets had been very dusty. After she had cleaned that up though she had been forced to concede that her body did not want to put up with this especially her hip which decided to bitch both loudly and rudely at her.

So she ended up on the couch trying to ice her hip and lower back. That's where he'll find her.

"I tried cleaning a cabinet in the kitchen. It was a total mess and my back had already been bothering me.... I decided to call it quits after my sneezing fit. Plus my hip started bugging me again," she's not happy about her hip and feels she should be honest about what went wrong.

"I think I should start wearing a mask when I do the cleaning here so I don't end up sneezing like that."

Plus she might get itchy again if it's really bad.

	"Pregnancy hormones," she supplies deciding that's better than pointing out that she hadn't let too many people touch her since she ran off. And this was a slightly big deal for her. 	It really does. Her shoulders had been almost rail straight because of how uncomfortable she felt. Now they were starting to look less tense. "I'm sorry... I'm bad at taking help. Remember when I got shot?" She peeks over at him. "I'll do better this time. I really didn't think that painting would hurt me but I'm sorry I did it because I hurt your feelings." It's kind of nice to have his hands on her again, just to feel closer. All this had put so much distance between them.

"Yeah...you scared me there. Don't go getting shot again. Of the two of us I should be the one that happens to, criminals shoot vigilantes more than thieves." He's kind of glad she can't see his face now, "And...I don't want to hurt your feelings either. I'm sorry if I ever did."

	"Considering I'm going into semi-retirement as a thief I think I can manage that." Oh she was doing her best to not get teary eyed either. He was very good at making her feel all kinds of things. "Well I'm pregnant so right now doing any jobs that I'd like to do would be too risky. Once the baby is born I'll need to focus my time on him for a few months until I get an idea of just what we both need and what I can do... Honestly I have enough funds to retire for the next few years but I want to do things so I can keep my feet wet. You never know what might come up and sometimes people pay big bucks to recover stolen items. That's a thought I played with. A few tough jobs every now and then once I'm ready could keep me happy," she explains with care.

	He doesn't want to say this but he really has to. "So...you'll still be a thief after then?" He's not sure why that should make a difference, she'd been a thief ever since he'd known her, but...something about her going back to that after all this was...complicated. 	"I don't know. It was a thought," she said with a sigh. "I need a job of some kind or I might get stir crazy. Not working is... weird. Since I turned ten I got to help out in little ways on jobs. He really doesn't want her to be a thief anymore, because it'd mean that...well the whole situation with the two of them and the kid would be harder and well, he didn't see how it could work. But he doesn't want to ask her to give it up either, it doesn't feel right to do that.

"You could do...insurance or security consultation. Lots of retired thieves go into that, nobody blinks." In his world his mother had opened a small art gallery, with unrivalled security and did the security consultation on the side. It was just a suggestion but he hoped she'd consider it.

	Thinking her lower back was better now, he moves on to her upper back and shoulders. "And you'd get to break in to prove it. Lot of the same job requirements but nobody will be arresting you." 	"I came here from Turkey. Jet lag," she says innocently before mentally cursing herself for letting some intelligence slip but it is Thomas and when they go see the doctor at some point he'll be able to remind her to mention that because it's important for the baby. 	"Turkey huh? Where else did you go?" He says this casually as if he's just making small talk, but he really does want to know where she runs to. "No reason it can't be like that again," he smiles.
