Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

	"Not going to get you far," he shoots back. "And that was our next stop. It's been a long enough day." It's not too long a drive back to her place, where he helps her out of the car and goes to get the paint cans and supplies to bring up to her place. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"See, now you're turning it into a challenge," she points out. "And here I wondered what I'd do while 'on leave'."

At least they aren't stopped on their way to the elevator. She uses the electronic eye that lets them on it and gets them to her floor. At least the downstairs was pretty safe.

Once they were on her floor she led the way towards her door and let them into her place. She kicked her shoes off and wandered towards her couch just about ready to curl up right there.

	"Tease me clearly," he rolls his eyes. He goes to put the stuff they bought in the future nursery and goes back to her living room to stand over her and frown as she's about to curl up there. "You should nap on your bed Foxy. The couch isn't going to do your back or hip any good." Yes, even in his enraged state last night he'd noticed the hip was causing her pain. 	She blinked up at him blearily. Not even for a few minutes? Drat. "My hip is okay today," she points out as she moves so she can stand. "Nice improvement over yesterday. But... you're right. 	It's almost three in the afternoon when she realizes she has been sleeping all this time. She stirs and feels to see if he is still there. She wouldn't be surprised if he still was. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thomas is still out, sleeping very soundly as her stirring usually would have woken him. But he's exhausted both mentally and physically, and if she wants to wake him up now he'll need some prodding. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That had her smile fondly at him. She kissed is forehead gently then slipped out of the bed to fo sneakily start painting while he's sleeping. Because she's a naughty girl. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He stirs a little at the kiss but stays asleep.

It takes a bit of time to get all the supplies and set up the room for painting, so he has extra napping time while she's being naughty.

Later that afternoon the smell of paint finally gets into her room and causes him to stir again and roll onto the side of the bed where she should be. He sleepily opens his eyes to realize she's not there and...is that the smell of paint. Oh great that woman...

She's actually doing good. She was forced to take a break because her back hurt. The smell of paint also bugged her slightly. But mostly she couldn't quite reach some higher up spots so she had stuck to what she could reach.

And she had also accidently smeared some pant on her face while working so while she was taking her break she tried picking it off. But she really didn't expect Thomas to wake up.

	He pretty much jumps out of the bed and sprints out to find her. "What are you doing Sarah?" Yes he's frowning. She started without him and on top of that was actually painting! 	His glaring tells her he doesn't care. No more painting for her, not while he's here. "I'm going to finish the first coat. 	She decided to not fight him. The look on his face said everything. "I'll go." She looks a little guilty. She hadn't meant to take this away from him. She had just wanted to help. He was really annoyed. Months of being excluded and having stuff hidden from him and now the first thing he could help her with and she wouldn't let him. He's a little hurt.

Lucky for him she's only done most of one wall, and not even the top of it, so he gets to work on that. He works fast, to make up for lost time, and makes sure he gets every single spot. He wants to be very sure he's doing a good job on this, after all it's going to be a kid's room.
