Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

	"Pfft, you like it. You just don't want to admit it after all this time." Yes, he's very much enjoying this, and positively grinning. "Did you want to try my milkshake? It's pretty good." 	"You sure? We can pick some up on the way back quickly." He's not going to admit just how tired he is. 3 hours of sleep for over 48 hours was taking its toll, but he had to make sure he actually got stuff done and helped her out. He had months to make up for. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That has his stomach sink. Sure he knew that but having it put so bluntly just reminded him again of how much he'd screwed up. Instantly sullen again, he puts his straw in her milkshake and helps her finish it while they wait for the bill. "...Glad to hear." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He'd anticipated this. Having seen the waitress approaching their table with the bill, he'd gotten out his wallet and already had cash in hand when the bill finally got there. 	Oh yes she can detect signs of brooding. She blames herself really. She is glad though for the help. All of that food plus actually starting to feel tired again is going to make this next stop difficult. Thankfully they'll just be picking up white paint even if it still has to be mixed. 	"We'll hurry then." The whole drive there he just runs through scenarios of what he could have done differently. He hated regretting things, it went against Catwoman's Rule #32, but for some reason he just can't get over how stupid he feels he's been. They pull up to the store not long after. 	"Paint brushes and a pan for putting the paint into," she says softly while thinking it over. "And whatever else you think we'll need for doing the edges, I guess.
