Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

	He may have also put a lot of tracking devices in it. Obviously though. "So...now you have no excuse that you couldn't contact me. Feel free to, even if it's not for anything important." He starts the car and soon they're on the road. "There's a greasy spoon not too far with incredible bacon cheeseburgers. We'll get extra bacon," he smirks at her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"That sounds really good," she decides with a small smile. She really needed something to offset the need for bacon. She really thought this whole food craving thing was the weirdest part about the whole thing. "You're way too entertained by my sudden need for bacon," she can't help the tiny smile. 	That and for a moment he thinks that she has every right to be annoyed at him. But he doesn't say that because, it really didn't seem like she'd take it well. "Then I better make it worth it. 	"With who exactly? Me?" What? Teasing her was too much fun. They enter the diner and are soon seated. It's clear that the place specializes in bacon. 	Oh my God what is this? She has to scan the menu twice to be sure she hasn't gone crazy. Is that a bacon cheeseburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches for the bun? Yes it is. "Just checking. Didn't want to push you into anything you weren't comfortable with."

They place their orders and Thomas throws in an oreo milkshake for himself. Granted, that wasn't too exotic but he needed something familiar given how unfamiliar this all was.

"This is really the weirdest craving? Any other things I should be aware of?" He's giving her a teasing smile but is actually curious. After all, zero experience with pregnant women.

"Sometimes I get hot flashes. Last night was a little different. Cold flash," she explains. "Mostly I've just been in the mood to snack more. I usually don't need anything extra...and suddenly I despise pears."

She considers her other issues that she's been having. "Also I'm apparently more sensitive to dust. Like.... the bad kind of sensitive. I'll need to clean more for now, I guess. Pollen hasn't triggered any reactions."

"Pears?" He's really trying not to laugh at that and manages to keep a very serious face. Too serious. It's kinda obvious he's overcompensating.

"Anything I can help with? Other than buy you food I guess." So far it seems her new quirks were...manageable. At least so far. He hopes it stays that way. He really didn't know what to expect, especially given the things he's heard about hormonal pregnant women.

	He goes quiet and looks down at the table. He wished he could've helped her, or at least been there for her. Even though he knows it's not his fault he feels like he's failed at something.
