Thomas and Sarah- Meme- Angst- Seperation (AU)
She'd been gone for months without a word and with no way to trace her. Just vanished into thin air. Had it been anyone else he'd be mad that they could even pull that off without him finding them. But with her...well he'd admit he was more hurt than anything. If she was going to up and leave he'd expected...well at least a goodbye, or some note or something. Not just an empty place and no leads to follow.

Which is why she's the last person he expects to see when he drops by a supermarket in one of the smaller neighbourhoods on his way home. There's an initial moment of shock and then it hits him what she's buying and her...condition. He probably scares a few of the other customers by the way he stands there, eyebrow twitching in anger, and glaring daggers at the young woman innocently making her purchases.

He never makes it home. Instead he follows her, recklessly still in his civilian ID, as far as he can without alerting her to his presence to where she's staying. Still blinded by anger, he doesn't wait till it's completely dark and changes to Robin gear to sneak into her living room ahead of her.

A tall shadow looms behind Sarah's couch, eyebrow still twitching, as she enters.

"Okay, did you want one last look around the store? I need to run and grab something at one of the other ones but I'll be back in 15 to 20. Meet at the car and we'll go for lunch. Bacon for sure." No he will not be questioning this craving, especially since it's bacon. And she needs to learn to love bacon, he's not going to push his luck and mess this rare opportunity up.

She decides that's a good plan. She nods at him.

"I might be able to find something I like." She gives him a slight smile. She thought she saw something she liked in a corner and look a close look before she decided she had to go with it.

It had tiny little foxes running up and down it chasing after birds. That was just way too cute.

She's getting it because it's for the baby. Really. Given the size of the box and everything she decides she'll have the thing shipped to her building. It takes her almost twenty minutes to do the whole thing and she added some batman sheets to the order just because.

And she gets back to the car looking very pleased with herself.

	Poor Thomas once he sees that box. He may need to change his codename because of it. If anything it should be the robin chasing the fox! He's already waiting at the car and gives her a curious look, "Oh? Buy anything." There better not have been any Batman stuff he thinks. Or robin stuff. Especially those shelves. He gives her a suspicious look, not quite believing this box was so innocent, as he gets into the car.

"Sure...normal." He waits till she's gotten in too before fishing out something from his jacket.

"Here," he says while handing her a phone. "It's a pay-as-you-go one. So if you need me or something you can reach me," he shows her the phone he got for himself just for this purpose. The phones aren't expensive, in fact they're just the basic ones, but if she needs something he wants her to feel like he's there for her and she doesn't need to run again.

	He may have also put a lot of tracking devices in it. Obviously though. "So...now you have no excuse that you couldn't contact me. Feel free to, even if it's not for anything important." He starts the car and soon they're on the road. "There's a greasy spoon not too far with incredible bacon cheeseburgers. We'll get extra bacon," he smirks at her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"That sounds really good," she decides with a small smile. She really needed something to offset the need for bacon. She really thought this whole food craving thing was the weirdest part about the whole thing. "You're way too entertained by my sudden need for bacon," she can't help the tiny smile. 	That and for a moment he thinks that she has every right to be annoyed at him. But he doesn't say that because, it really didn't seem like she'd take it well. "Then I better make it worth it. 	"With who exactly? Me?" What? Teasing her was too much fun. They enter the diner and are soon seated. It's clear that the place specializes in bacon. 	Oh my God what is this? She has to scan the menu twice to be sure she hasn't gone crazy. Is that a bacon cheeseburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches for the bun? Yes it is. "Just checking. Didn't want to push you into anything you weren't comfortable with."

They place their orders and Thomas throws in an oreo milkshake for himself. Granted, that wasn't too exotic but he needed something familiar given how unfamiliar this all was.

"This is really the weirdest craving? Any other things I should be aware of?" He's giving her a teasing smile but is actually curious. After all, zero experience with pregnant women.
