Quite frankly he doesn't see why she shouldn't tell him. He wasn't going to make her do something she didn't want to and he only had her safety in mind.

"That's why you didn't tell me?! Because you didn't want me involved is that it? Because it's not like I had a right to know now is it?" Now the sarcasm comes out, not a good sign. Especially since now he's actually shouting.
