Late Year Character Round-Up
This is the state of my DC Next Gen characters and where I plan for them to go.

Mitzi Storm: She started out as a temp character, but I saw something in her that made me pick her up. She's been a little slow to respond to me, but as I'm fleshing her background out a bit more, she's starting to sound as if she really wants to reform. She's going to hit a lot stumbling blocks along the way, and learning who her father is will alternately help and harm her, but I'm thinking it should be a wild ride for her.

Needs to Happen: I really need to get her more involved with other characters and show that she's trying to leave her bad ways behind her. She may eventually join the Shadowpact.

Plots: TBD

Red Robin/Tim Drake

Tim has been a little hard to find a niche for, as he's one of the adult characters in the game. He works with the Outsiders on a "consulting" basis, but has decided to make Star City his home. He's trained Marissa and now he's going back to working solo...or is he?

Meanwhile, I have a plot in mind that will put all of Tim's detective skills to use and then some as he and Lian try to get a read on a catastrophic event.

Needs to Happen: World-altering event, changes in his life.

Plots: The Future is a Memory

Kid Flash/Jai West

I was wary of playing a speedster when I first picked him up, but Jai has been a lot of fun to play off of. His best friend has been reassigned, but he's still got his sister Iris (who can be a little...excitable) and his girlfriend Traya (who simply rocks). I'm hoping Jai will find another guy friend to relate to in the near future.

There's also going to be some unexpected trouble on the relationship front for him, and this is all going to lead to a life-changing event for Jai himself: the loss of his powers. He's going to have to learn who he is if he's not Kid Flash, and the answer will surprise even him.

Needs to Happen: He's involved in the Time of Troubles, which will see him become an avatar of a god. The Future is a Memory will also heavily involve him.

Plots: Time of Troubles, upcoming.

Robert Queen/Merlyn/Black Arrow

Another character suffering from lack of exposure, but I've already started to remedy this. His fondness for Jane Doe-Smith was unexpected for him, though Robert's life is currently tied up in his hatred of his father, Oliver Queen. He's aware of two of his brothers and Mia, but Lian and Keith will alter the way he looks at the Arrow Family.

Robert's still not sure if he's a good guy or a bad guy and that's fine with me. I have plans for him that work in either case. He is certain that those who do evil are going to pay for it, one way or another.

Needs to Happen: More tension with Morgaine King, who's father he killed. Yes, it was self-defense, but most people don't care about that. Also exploring his ties to two of my other characters, Tim Drake and Damien Wilson.

Plots: None

Status: Open for anything.

Damien Wilson/al Ghul

This guy is evil and there isn't any redeeming him. He grew up being taught by Deathstroke and Ra's al Ghul, and he has a certain belief system that will not allow for the world's heroes to continue to exist in his vision of the world unless they are under his control. With that unlikely to happen, Damien is going to carry on his grandfather's work and exceed it.

He does posses a twisted sense of devotion and love to his sister Morgaine, his mother and father, Robert Queen, and one other person. Still, he won't allow even these people to alter his goals. He'd wipe them out first.

He's also indirectly responsible for the death of a woman whom he believed was a minor annoyance, but he'll soon learn that he stirred up far more than he can imagine in that regard.

Needs to Happen: Gotham Plot which will lead into "The Future is a Memory" which is basically his masterstroke and would involve everyone on canvas. Feud with the Outsiders. Issues with Robin.

Plots: Gotham Plot (TBD), The Future is a Memory.

Status: Open for Scenes.
