Semi-OOC: What I Want to Teach My Son
((This isn't actually appropriate yet, but I wanted to get a start on it; it was on the brain.))
I. There is a time and a place for everything. Except rhinestoned parachute pants.
II. When in Rome, you don't have to do exactly as the Romans do, but you better darn well remember the place is full of Romans.
III. Always know where you're aiming.
IV. There is such a thing as subtlety
V.There is such a thing as <i>style</i>.
VI. Language is a tool that should be used well in the right circumstances.
VII. Money is a tool that should be used well in the right circumstances.
VIII. Always try to recognize beauty, of any kind, when you see it.
IX. Always try to recognize talent, of any kind , when it's demonstrated in any capacity.
X. Walk softly and wear good shoes.
