Kael had been living with and fighting beside them for quite a while. He and Vernique enjoyed enjoyed the... benefits package she'd extended to him some time back.

And though she appreciate's that look from Kael, Vernique's the one who pounces on him. She'd been doing her best to stay out of the way, let it be about Svalin for once... but as she's always been perfectly honest... a Girl Has Needs.
