Loopholes.
Vernique had had a rough day. A very rough day. Solver was finally to bed, but she was tense and unhappy desperate to feel like herself again.

Which made it all the harder to fight a longstanding temptation. Until she gave up, marching outside, where she knew he was, with her jaw set and her eyes clear.

	He takes a moment to admire the way she moved. It reminded him of the way the women at court would move to entice the men present. "I would assume so. I don't believe anything a Dark Elf could catch would affect you. Also my.." he pauses a moment, frowning. "..godly heritage provides me a degree of immunity to disease. You are safe." He sighs, though if he were being honest, he appreciated someone giving a damn. "That is..part of it. Mother was very..frank when it came to the details of their liaison. He had been masquerading as Thor for some reason or other. She made a play at seducing him, thinking him Thor. His reputation as a..a.."

He takes a breath. "In any event they bedded together and it was revealed she had tricked him into a Dark Elf marriage. It was intended as a means to lay a legitimate claim to Asgard. In the end it was revealed of course that they had fooled each other. Nothing much else happened after that. He went his way after the marriage was annulled."

You're letting your view of yourself be pretty strongly affected by the fact that you don't have the 'sneaky and too-clever-by-half gene.' In an environment where the overprevalece of that has lead to everyone lying to everyone else, trying so hard to trick each other that they trick themselves, and where somebody's raising whole private secret armies to bypass your mother... don't you think a little infusion of directness into Svartalfheim might be for the best?"

"Oh, that'll do nicely," she says, her voice already getting thick. She makes a few non-verbal suggestions to lay him down, then kisses further down his neck, clavicle, chest, right down to the abs. And then her teeth dig in -- she trusts her powers and a lifetime of good dental health to keep them from chipping, as it were -- savoring the taste and texture of the skin over firm muscle.
