Date Night.
It was a lot like Mom and Dad's traditions, actually. Where Dad had used telegrams and faxes, she used e-mail. Vernique told Jordan that she'd be in the appropriate area that weekend and would like to have dinner, maybe some dancing.

In no way does he mind this, even a little bit. He lies the stares they're getting, and is well aware plenty of people are jealous of him about now. He just plays the gentleman throughout, guiding her along, while being fine with being rather close in the process, up to helping her into the limo. "Not far from the club. They know we're coming, we can skip the rope and line."

Time and place for everything. There's times to look a lady in the eye and keep it formal. Then there's a time to appreciate that one's date is wearing a scandalously short skirt, which is rarely something worn when one wants to not attract looks.

He figures this is the latter.

The car pulls up right in front of the club, the driver will park after they're out. True to his word, the doorman makes sure they get right in.

	And right in they go, Vernique going with Jordan straight towards the dance floor, feeling just a little smug to herself about how impeccable-slovenly outfit goes well in the setting alongside intentionally risque. The music is loud. The music is pounding. Conversation will not be easy. He does his bast, and to his credit, projects pretty well, in figuring out what first.

This isn't the type of place with reserved seating. Past the bouncer without problems or wait is about the limit of privilege. But he finds them a table anyway, and makes sure they can get a round of drinks. When something arrives to mark the table as taken, he offers a hand to lead to the dance floor.

And Vernique can be quite comfortable with the music feeling like it's going to readjust her pulse, even though she can also be quite comfortable at the ballet or a Carly Simon concert.

Dancing in high-heeled boots isn't the easiest thing in the world, but this kind of dancing doesn't take too much footwork, and anyway... Vernique Manages, adjusting to the music and generally just sticking close and appreciating looking at Jordan.

There is little finesse to it, hardly ballroom. The dance floor is occasionally crowded, with Jordan doing his best to keep her close, and likewise make sure no one bumps into her too aggressively, while rocking his body with the beat, hands on her hips or sides to make sure everyone knows the hottest girl on the dance floor is claimed, and occasionally grinds into her in time with the beat.

	He has sensible shoes, invulnerable feet, and superhuman constitution. He tries to keep in mind she has none of these things, and offers an escort back to their table. 	Vernique takes out a pen from somewhere, grabs a cocktail napkin, and looks thoughtful, considing both the people about and back on the dance floor. Finally, she starts drawing what appears to be a scoresheet. One section of tallymarks reads "Envying You." Another reads "Envying Me" A third reads "Envying Both of Us at Once."
