Date Night.
It was a lot like Mom and Dad's traditions, actually. Where Dad had used telegrams and faxes, she used e-mail. Vernique told Jordan that she'd be in the appropriate area that weekend and would like to have dinner, maybe some dancing.

In no way does he mind this, even a little bit. He lies the stares they're getting, and is well aware plenty of people are jealous of him about now. He just plays the gentleman throughout, guiding her along, while being fine with being rather close in the process, up to helping her into the limo. "Not far from the club. They know we're coming, we can skip the rope and line."

Time and place for everything. There's times to look a lady in the eye and keep it formal. Then there's a time to appreciate that one's date is wearing a scandalously short skirt, which is rarely something worn when one wants to not attract looks.

He figures this is the latter.

The car pulls up right in front of the club, the driver will park after they're out. True to his word, the doorman makes sure they get right in.
