They were having a perfectly normal afternoon at the shooting range, talking about various and sundry things. Work. Home. Family.

Then, as she leaned to properly annihilate a target, her Realizations started telling her things about Nicolai's body temperature and breathing patterns.
He was worked up. He didn't get worked up from plain old firearms practice that he could literally do blindfolded.
She lowered the gun when she was finished with the target, and put the safety on.
"Nicolai?" She steps closer. "Was there something you wanted?" And closer.
Eventually, she's too close to resist. "Yes," he says, pulling her into a kiss.

	Their mothers had both warned them not to let it get in the way of their work. And being their mothers' children, neither of them did. They were impeccably professional on the field or in the office, and steaming up the bedroom or car windows off-duty. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Lea Sablinova was a pale little thing, white as a sheet with hair to match. And once she manifested, she could mind control roomsful of people like marionettes. She didn't, though. That was just bad policy, her parents and grandparents agreed. (Reply to this)(Parent)
