Sylvia Alejandra McCoy ([info]quadrimanial) wrote in [info]butterflybullet,
It was a lecture series on Spanish Visual Culture. While hearing about Antoni Gaudi, Jack noticed the girl in the wheelchair on the aisle seat fidgeting.
Fidgeting with the hands just barely poking out of the long denim skirt.

Not something one sees every day.
He wondered how those... arms must look. What it would be like to draw.

But he's not going to go around drawing attention to someone's mutation.
Still, afterwards, he politely asks, "So what did you think?"
"Really fascinating. Especially the skull house. I know a guy who'd just love to top that."
"Oh? You've got a friend in architecture? Boyfriend?"
"Ohh no. I've got a basically-cousin who's a sculptor. You in architecture?"
"Yeah. Can't say skull houses would be my thing, though."
"Well, obviously, they're not for everybody. Say, do you want to get coffee?"
