The Beginning of the End..
There is no way that Avalon could know what the future holds. Not for sure anyway. Unlike most of the inhabitants of his homeworld, he is not precognitive, and even though his mother is, she would only tell him so much before refusing to reveal more of the future to her son.

In the past this had caused much trouble between Avalon and his friends - Henry put no stock in these visions, and in the near Earth year that they have been partner, Avalon has come to accept this about him. Humans preferred to make their own fate, and he learned quickly to keep his faith in his mother's visions to himself. While Avalon could find many things to respect in the desire to make one's own fate, there were still many things about his future that he simply can not help but hold sacred. Still, surprises happen.

This day, Avalon is found laying on his bed, an iPad-like device in his lap as he pokes at it. The device is a tiny bit of alien technology from Naltor, a reading pad that his parents gifted to him when Henry, Josh and he became men on Starhaven. Understanding their son's inability to read, Avalon's parents had filled the device's memory with reading resources to help him learn. Ever since returning home, Avalon has studied on the pad diligently.

He is surprised from his studies by a call from Odym, his ring pulsing to life on hi middle right finger. For a moment, Avalon gives it a few blinks and then sits up, his expression turning to one of concern. Odym hasn't called in a long time, and they tend to not call unless something big or bad is going on.

*Brother Avalon. How do you fare these days in 2814?* asked Sayd herself.

Avalon blinks, shocked to hear from Sayd - usually his contact with the Blues tends to be through his mentor, Sister Sercy. For Sayd to contact him directly, it must be quite important.

*Greetings Honored Sayd. I do well in 2814. Life has been surprisingly enjoyable, it's almost like a dream come true.* Avalon replied, his expression puzzled.

*I am glad to hear that you are so happy, Brother.* replies the Guardian, though something is odd in her tone, though Avalon can not put his finger on it. *The reason for my disturbance is that I must ask that you report back to Odym within the next three days. We have Blue Lantern matters to discuss and they are best done face to face.* she then goes on to explain.

Grinning, Avalon can't help but be thrilled - for months now he has wanted an excuse to take Henry (and perhaps Josh) to see the beauty that is Odym. *Gladly Guardian. I will be there in three days.* he agrees.
