Josh needed a little time as well, considering everything said during their talk.

He's in one of his usual spots...up in a tree again. Hands behind his head, he's got his eyes closed as he just thinks and takes in the feeling of the surrounding life.

"Up here, Ava," he greets when he senses the Lantern.

"Hey!" replies Avalon, his tone bright. The tree is easy enough to climb, and despite what many might think, Avalon wasn't usually encumbered by his wings. He only puts them away when in public to keep from scaring or alarming the normal baseline humans.

He climbs up into the tree and swings around to settle onto a branch right above Josh, and looks down at him with a big wide smile. "Hi there." he then murmurs softly, and reaches out to press his palm to Josh's chest; he always does this, but it helps him establish a quicker line on someone by touching them. He doesn't bother pulling his hand away though.

"I did not think that I would come back. I told you an untruth." he admits softly.

Just in shorts and an open button-up shirt right now, Ava gets bare chest when he touches Josh. The healer rather quickly places his hand over Ava's. "Careful up there," he says, half teasing.

"I'm glad you're back though."

Having more than just arms and legs to help him keep his balance, Ava flashes a rather adoration fulled smile at Josh and flexes his fingers a bit against the other boy's skin. "With you near, I do not fear pain or death. Even if they came, they would not worry me for I have been blessed with the opportunity to see you once more." he says in a near whisper.

Josh blushes and glances away, shivering a little.

"I may not be able to completely stop pain but I'll whoop Death's bony backside any day of the weak," he says, smiling and glowing with healing light for a moment.

"You are very skilled in that way, I will agree." laughs Avalon. The fact that Josh is flushing so makes Avalon's pulse beat a bit faster, and he draws in a deep breath steady himself. The butterflies were back, fluttering around in his belly, but they felt rather good. Better than feeling numb.

Avalon can't reach Josh much more, so he simply flexes his fingers again, and lets his touch turn into more of a caress, lingering over Josh's skin. He's not trying to block out his emotions anymore, even though he has no idea if Josh can sense the changes in his body through the line between them or not. He's just tired of hiding himself.

"You were dearly missed." he then whispers, while looking into Josh's eyes.

Josh just blushes worse. "I do my best..." he trails off shyly. He blinks when he feels the changes occurring in Avalon's body and looks up at him quickly.

He squeezes Ava's hand and smiles. "I missed you too, Ava," he says, meeting the winged hero's gaze.

Avalon's eyes slide to half mast, and he reaches out with his other hand, his fingers trailing across Josh's cheek in a soft but quite direct touch. Avalon doesn't shy away from Josh though, continuing to hold his gaze as he says, "When I left, all I could think of was my regret that I had not expressed myself to you sooner. It burned that you were taken away from me.. Now tht I am back, I feel the need to cling to you, lest you fall through my fingers once again."

Josh just keeps blushing.

"Then why are you still up there?"

Avalon can't help but smile, and then allows his ring to envelop the both of them in a soft blue glow. He then gently extracts them from the tree, and once there are not branches between them, Avalon presses himself up against Josh's chest as they hang in the air above the backyard's grass.

Josh's invitation only had to be offered once, however. Avalon wraps his arms around the other boy's neck, and then leans up to press his lips to Josh's without hesitation. The kiss though causes a bloom of emotion in Avalon's chest, and a soft little moan escapes his lips - though this time there is no sorrow attached, but something else much more heady and warm.

Justin lets out a little 'eep' as he's lifted, a little tiny bit of flailing escaping him before he relaxes.

He slips his arms around Ava's middle when the blue lantern comes in, pressing eagerly into the kiss. He can still sense the changes in Ava's body and his is responding in kind as his emotions are pretty similar.

"I want more than just kisses." whispers Avalon against Josh's lips, before blue eyes slide open to gaze into Josh's face. He then smiles a bit, his expression turning mischievous as he asks "Where do you think that we should go? I do not wish to upset Katima or Henry.. But.." he then whines ever so softly, "But I do not wish to wait any longer as well."

Josh goes bright red as he figures out what Avalon's whisper means. "Oh!" he smiles. "That sounds really good," he admits.

"Umm. I don't think they'd be upset actually," he says, squirming a little. "What about that beach of ours? We...might need to stop and get a couple supplies first though."

Josh's request for supplies is confusing for Avalon - he doesn't think they really need anything but themselves if they go to the beach. Then again, Josh might have something fun in mind, so he nods his head in agreement.

"Whatever you wish. What sort of supplies did you have in mind?" he asks as he wills them upwards, spiraling lazily into the sky before they start towards the little barely-there beach that seems to have been claimed as theirs.

Josh starts to say something but pauses. He offers an embarrassed smile before shrugging. "Actually, between our two power sets...we don't need anything but us and privacy."

Avalon still doesn't get that Josh is talking about contraceptives; after all, all he's really concerned about is being closer to Josh.

"O..kay?" he then asks with a laugh before he squeezes Josh in a hug and then activates the space-warping ability of his ring. Within moments they arrive above the tiny little black sand beach, and Avalon has placed their feet in the sand.

The tiny island is pretty in the day - a scrap of sand and trees and grass. Avalon gives Josh a rather large grin, and lets his expression turn sultry as he draws the other boy towards a shady spot under a tree.

"Maybe we should bring a blanket next time we come, at least." he says, though at the moment he's too busy wrapping himself around Josh. The sight of Josh's skin against Avalon's own feathers is an especially exhilarating sight for him.

Josh lets out a squeak and grabs onto Ava as they warp. The healer wobbles when they land and shakes his head. "Never gonna get used to that," he mutters.

The healer lets himself be lead and smiles. "Yeah. A blanket. Maybe just store some supplies out here too," he says, pulling Ava in. The healer shivers from the tickle and leans in for a kiss.

As their lips meet, Avalon moans again, though this time a bit more loudly. He's not afraid of bothering anyone here, nor is he afraid of broadcasting his emotions since Josh is the only one there to possibly know.

Where the other night when they were alone, he had been content to hold and kiss, this time his hands itch to rove and explore. For now though he makes them thread up into Josh's hair as the kiss deepens between them and Avalon looses any need for speaking.

Josh moans back into the kiss, hands trailing down to take hold of Ava's backside on impulse.

He lets go long enough for his shirt to fall off and then grabs back onto Ava.

That little bit of time they are apart seems like an agony for Avalon. The moment that Josh is free of his shirt however, Avalon has pressed himself up against the other boy, his hands roaming bared skin.

"Something that amazes me is how much we are alike, even though I come from the stars." murmurs Avalon as he slides down a bit, his lips seeking to taste the line of Josh's throat. "It makes me wonder if I'm really all that much different.. or if your senses are right and that I'm somehow half human."

Josh gasps and shivers as Ava goes for his throat. It feels good and has the healer blushing again. "I'm pretty sure...my senses are right," he says, licking his lips and giving Avalon's backside a squeeze. "But I'd need to sense another member of your species to be absolutely sure."

"I'm not of one species, but two." gasps Avalon then at the feel of Josh's squeezing of his rump. The Naloria shudders then and draws his nails along Josh's side, his own skin crawling from sensation. The last time he had tasted passion, it had been a few moments stolen in the trenches of war. This time he intend to take his time about it.

Josh gasps again as he's scratched, the marks fading away almost as quickly as they're made. "Well...one of each then," he replies, swallowing. "Oh man...Ava..."

The winged boy just gives Josh a rather smirking, encouraging smile, and then presses himself in, wings and all, reveling in the feeling of flesh against his own skin and feathers.

"I've never done this - I mean - on a beach and out in the open.." he then says in a low, excited tone. Josh would already know of Avalon's arousal and his desire for the boy in his arms; if not by his senses, then the press of Avalon's body against his hip. "I've never done this with someone who I loved.." he then whispers, eyes looking into Josh's.

Josh can indeed feel and sense what's going on. His own arousal is pretty obvious as well. "I...I think we have too many clothes on for this, Ava," he says, bright red. "Happy...you're doing it with me."
