Physical description: 5' 9" from head to toe, and he weighs about 150lbs. The willowy boy has a wingspan of 13' from flight feather to flight feather, and the wings themselves are an almost metallic sort of silver color. They appear bird-like, though the actual species of bird is indeterminable. Avalon's hair is dark and almost black at the roots, but then lightens to a wheat color naturally at the tips. His eyes are a bright china blue, and peer out at the world from under a mop of wheat-blond strands.
Age: Roughly 18-19 Earth years (time passes differently on Naltor)
Birthday: Avalon doesn't really have an Earth birthday to celebrate.
Codename: Blue Lantern Avalon or Brother Avalon

Abilities: Telepathic empathy: Allows Avalon to sense the emotions of others. Dream Walking: a variation on some of the Dreaming-linked powers that some Naltorians have. More or less, Avalon can visit those whom he knows within their dreams and give them messages or even just talk/interact with them. He is unable to visit someone unless he knows them well, and he is unable to "hurt" them while in their dreams. In all actuality, their dreams may be more dangerous to him than he is to it, especially if he were to visit someone during a nightmare or other violent dream. Avalon also is capable of flight upon his own power. Blue Lantern Powers.

Weaknesses and flaws: A Blue Lantern ring will only allow its wearer protection from Space, translate languages, and the ability to fly without close proximity to a Green Lantern and a Green Lantern Ring to be able to access his full powers.

Team: YJLA, though his ring can not fire without Henry closeby.
Relatives: Mother and Father are both still living. No siblings.
Backstory: From the day that Avalon was born, Naltor had been at war. The war though was not as one would expect; it was not fought with weapons but instead with fear. The precognition of the Naltor people made the evil spread, made it easy for the fear to replace all hope of escape. By the time Avalon had grown into teen-hood, the peoples of his planet were all but slaves under the rule of their own brothers and sisters. The only thing that separated them was caste.

In the future, Naltor would eradicate their caste system and move on to more forward-thinking ways. In Avalon's time though, any half breed (like him), any who bred with an alien or half breed, or any of the lower servant caste were considered nothing more than animals or slaves. This was all very hard for Avalon to grasp, even as a small child, because he could not understand the reasoning. Even though his parents were from different worlds, they had brought him to term and raised him out of their love for one another, and their love for him. From his earliest memories, Avalon was taught to always see the positive, instead of the negative, and to above all always Hope.

When Avalon had become a man (by his caste standards), he was nothing much more than 15 by Earthling years. He was taken from his parents, and forced to work in the mines of the planet for punishment for daring to spread his wings and fly one day. The pure injustice of it all caused him to very quietly start a revolt against all that the caste system stood for, and started using his nights to spread the message of hope and freedom among the miners around him. It was several months later that Avalon lead the revolt that was responsible for tipping the scales and starting an all-out race war upon Naltor. The caste system was failing.

This was a special sort of war though, for even though they were at odds, Avalon stressed to his peoples the importance of not taking life unless necessary. While force might be required for some situations, it was not for all. Avalon taught his followers to view their fellow Naltorian with hope for a better future for all, instead of judging someone by the circumstances of his birth. Even though life was lost, it was a minimal sacrifice for the greater good of peace and every life that was extinguished was given it's proper respect.

These actions lead the Blue Lanterns to turn their eyes upon him, and Sister Sercy of Sector 4 chose Avalon as her recruit from Sector 5. Avalon spent the required three days, making his decisions - and he accepted his eventual fate - whatever that might have been. Training and work has kept him busy for roughly the past 2 Earth years.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Brother Avalon and Sister Rose will be returning to Earth together, sent from Odym to assist Henry Jordan with the great peril that Earth is facing.
What are you planning to do with this character?: I see Avalon being almost two people. While in his uniform and working to restore hope and light to the world, Avalon is a very serious man. When with his friends, he's a rather regular (if slightly goofy) teenager. He is perplexed by the culture clashes between himself and the Earthlings, and loves to revel in learning new things and new experiences. Things that might be mundane to his friends are new and different for Avalon, and I hope to help other characters reclaim a bit of that for themselves.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I see Avalon working side by side with Henry and becoming great pals. He's already friends with Rose and they know one another quite well. While he will no doubt make more friends, I want Avalon to come to understand the world around him, and find his niche with the super heros for the JLA. Most certainly, I want to see him develop a strong relationship with Henry (in whatever fashion they end up getting along) and prove himself as a faithful and trust-worthy team member.
