History: Being the daughter of an Eternal and not inheriting any of the Eternal power set was a genetic lottery loss. Sure, she had great training and several of her teammates weren't high powered either, but it seemed really unfair. Sersi, the universe's most doting grandmother, made a gift of the Black Knight's armor and Ebony Blade on her seventeenth birthday. The armor and blade were acquired after Dane Whitman's death. Whitman had no known family left to inherit. For sentimental reasons, Sersi wanted to keep the Black Knight's legacy alive. As there were no rules stating it had to be a male, she decided that her granddaughter had the necessary temperament to deal with the curse and the guidance from her parents to make the most of the armor. In a very real way, Sersi wanted the world to have a Black Knight defender again. |
