Physical description (face, build, weight):Florian has brown hair, blue eyes, delicate facial structure, and a deceptively slim build that actually hides a decent amount of muscle when not powered. When actively using his abilities his skin and eyes turn yellow, and his teeth sharpen to points.

Abilities: The ability to know a person’s fear and manifest it before them. Florian will also have standard corps abilities like flying and the ability to breathe in space or other hostile conditions.

Backstory:
Florian had a fairly sedate life even if his parents were a bit more whimsical than most until his fire fighting father died on the job when he was twelve. After that, though friends tried to help out, things were tough on everyone and they sold their house moving into a small apartment. His mother kept working as an elementary school art teacher and Florian kept making his way through school, but neither of them really had the enthusiasm that they used to for the rest of his middle school years. Once he hit high school, Florian joined the swim team the new motivation and time passing from his father’s death helped him to pull his mother out of her funk and they had three years of time together.
Then, just before his senior year began, Sheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rather than slip into another funk she took it in stride and they tried to combat it the best they could. She took up an extra position at the community center until she couldn’t work too jobs because of the treatments she was going through, and Florian quit the swim team to work afternoons and nights at one of the local grocers to help pay for medical bills. His senior year progressed like that with his mother having both good days and bad, but they never gave up. She was there, her head in a scarf, clapping and taking pictures through tears at his graduation.
He has put off going to college to work full time at the grocers and at other jobs he can get in their area because her job and a part time one from him was never going to be enough to cover their bills and living expenses. One night walking in between jobs is when the shard enters him and shatters his quiet hardworking existence. He can suddenly see that his mother isn’t afraid of death, but of what will happen to him when she dies now that he’s given up his life to take care of her. He can see that his manager at the grocery store is terrified of sharks. He knows what everyone around him is afraid of and has to come to terms with that.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Introing him along with the other New Guardians in the plot Dylan devised.
What are you planning to do with this character? I want to have him build relationships with his fellow New Guardians and manage juggling taking care of his mother and attempting to be a hero on a team.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I want to see him run into obstacles and his own fears and work to overcome them while building lasting relationships with his team and making a place for himself for after his mother’s death.
