Personality: excellent detective, a good marksman with a pistol, and possesses an extraordinary sense of will / is typically a ruthless and aggressive individual when he is hunting / prepared to kill without question more often than not / very laid-backand fun-loving when not / values the safety of those under his protection above all else, even his own life / can be somewhat impulsive and/or arrogant, Benjamin is both extremely intelligent andcompetent, and the only situations in which he exhibits irrational behavior is when his family is threatened / enjoys the uncomplicated things in life, such as good food and television / almost constantly displays some level of humorous behavior, and frequently makes light of tense situations, often making inappropriate jokes or comments.
History: Benjamin Michael Stone was born in to the infamous Stone family. They were deep into the supernatural, Hunters of the darkness that surround them. He himself was a "half-breed", a Watcher, part angel, part human. There is a dark side though; something that his family hide from him and tried to make sure he wouldn't find out. It was his grandmother who mated with an angel, but it was a fallen angel, not all white light and joy. Fallen angels were demons because of their falling and it is that legacy that runs through Ben's veins. His parents Jack and Natalie loved their son and while they wanted him to be happy and have a good life, also knew that he would take his place amongst the family.
He was a playful child, always cracking jokes and making people laugh. But he is a dedicated student. He loves learning about new weapons and how to use them, and he loves research. Before too long he shows agreat intelligence for supernatural information and an aptitude for more and more knowledge. He enjoyed school and toyed between becoming a cop, or staying more with the family, working as a Hunter or even becoming a bounty hunter. But that changed when he met Abigail Murphy and her family.
Benjamin fell in love with Abi who is a Witch, and soon they were dating and getting very serious about one another. He proposed to her when they were 20 during Ben's 2nd year of university. The two of them got married a year later. They were something of opposites but they got a long wonderfully, and complimented each other in behaviour and temperament. They leaned on each other and worked together well in all things. Not a year into the marriage, they found out Abi was pregnant and the couple couldn't have been happier or more thrilled. And nine months later, beautiful Anna came into their lives. Benjamin was content and happy and to him, life was perfection. Before he knew it four years had passed for the Stone family. Benjamin was working with Major Crimes and the crime lab. Perhaps they got too comfortable, perhaps Benjamin let his guard down. It would seem nothing could spoil it, take away that golden glow which had settled on the new family. Then tragedy struck them all. Abigail and Benjamin were tracking a demon who had a sick sense of humour and took Anna right from under her parents' noses. It was devastating to the whole family. Abigail and Ben blamed each other, they blamed themselves. It wasn't easy of them and the strain got worse and worse for them both.
It was then that Benjamin's parents dropped a bombshell on him - they told him his true identity. That he wasn't just a Stone, wasn't just a Hunter, but a half-breed, not part Angel, but part Fallen Angel, a deomon. They had kept it from him his whole life in hopes of keeping the burden of that heredity from a happy somewhat normal life. But Anna's disappearance made his mom rethink things, and Ben became guilt-ridden thinking what he was truly is what led to Anna's kidnapping. It all becomes too much for him and when the decision came to separate and divorce from Abigail, he didn't argue it.
Benjamin left town for the coast after that. He needed space and to clear his head. He kept in contact but it wasn't regularly with his parents. He just needed time to his self. He went into bounty hunting, making both friends and enemies within the supernatural world along the way. But then the hell broke loose and things started happening more and more in Las Vegas, and his presence was needed in town again. So after a while, Benjamin found his way back into Las Vegas and found himself in the role of Watch leader and setting up location in the library, one of his favourite places. And then things got worse, and he could sense something coming. He moved quickly, getting as much of the Watch artifacts, books and research materials out of the inner sanctum and to his warehouse/loft as well as the church.
Extra: Benjamin is a virtuoso of escape, evasion and silent movement, when the situation requires subtly and stealth. He is also alarmingly skillful in many areas frowned upon by the law - lock picking, breaking into security systems, car jacking and gaining an 'advantageous purchase'. Benjamin is adept with martial arts and is highly dangerous with edged weapons -knifes, daggers, swords. His heightened senses enable him to be a proficient tracker and an instinctive ability to manipulate people.Benjamin also has knowledge of some of the more "unusual" methods and weaponry - knowledge in chemistry and improvised explosive devices, and knowledge of electronics and reverse engineering. He continues to add to his extensive knowledge of the supernatural and mythology. He is versed with how police, fire departments and various government agencies typically operate and conduct investigations, and knows how to evade them effectively.
