A Cup or Two

The Emperor: Kingston Westerveldt
The card: The Emperor is filled with enthusiasm, energy, aggression. He is quite often irresistably charming. He can be a tyrant, impatient, demanding at best, controlling at worst. He grows discontent at times, hungry for more.

The man: Kingston was groomed from a young age to replace his father as Emperor. He was not the strongest of his brothers, but he was certainly the most cunning. When something was presented to him he did everything in his power to get it and keep it.

He was married to Eve and the pair began producing more heirs to the throne. He loves Eve, mainly because she is such a good match to his own ambitions. He has an odder relationship with his sons and daughter however, because they pose an active threat to the power he has amassed (more now that he has decimated the Runic Kingdom in the recent war).

When his own house was destroyed (the Arcane House bordered the Runic Kingdom and took much of the fire) he moved much of his entourage to the House of Cups (though others chose to stay at other houses of their own free will). It was the best choice since his son Malcolm had died in the war (and no one is very clear about Kingston's part in his son's death). With no one to properly rule the House of Cups, Kingston thought it best to oversee it himself (though Queen Emi has been gracious in this matter she is not quite yielding; she still retains some power over the household). The House Arcane is still in the process of being rebuilt.
