I think I've an awful cold. I can't stop coughing, and my muscles are starting to be sore from doing it so much. But I really, really, really don't like pepperup potion - it burns the inside of my nose. Of course it would happen at the tail end of the weekend, when I've another full week before I can take a real break.

Why do the weekends always go so fast? How is it Sunday night already?

name: Agnes Longbottom age / birthday: 16; August 8, 1926 current/former house: Hufflepuff
brief bio: The second of Wendel and Alberta's five daughters, Agnes wasn't exactly starved for her parent's attention growing up, but she also was quite aware that she had to share it with her sisters. Her childhood was a rather normal one for her early years, and her parents, though stretched sometimes by the number of children that they had, were still affectionate and loving towards their children.
Agnes showed signs of magic as a young girl, but as was often the case with her, nothing about it was particularly remarkable. Upon arriving at Hogwarts she was sorted into Hufflepuff, a place where she was rather good at making friends, but less good at the actual schoolwork. It's not that Agnes is unintelligent, it's more that she doesn't have the kind of intelligence that is valued in most classes - her strengths lie elsewhere. Like a true Hufflepuff she tried hard at her classes, but her scores have never been outstanding, generally managing to scrape by with As and the occasional E (or P).
At the end of her fifth year, just before her OWLs, her father Wendel was killed during one of the bombing raids in London. It was something that devastated the family for various reasons - aside from the fact that they were now without a father, they were also without a male in the household, something rather undesirable at this day in age in the wizarding world. With 2 children still at home, and with 5 at home over the summers, Alberta was in a very difficult position and after a bit of hesitating about the societal acceptance of doing so, entered the workforce.
Now in her sixth year, Agnes does her best to keep herself out of trouble so as to keep her mother's life as uncomplicated as it can be at this point in her life. Her grades are still far from outstanding, but she does what she can, not quite sure if her grades need to be good enough to get a job, or if she will be expected to help the family out when she finishes Hogwarts.
brief personality: Her parents were affectionate, but at times that they were busy or preoccupied with another sibling, the younger girls would often turn to Agnes, who was a bit warmer than the oldest sister, Enid. She is naturally a nurturing person, and tends to be rather helpful among the younger students in her house. Her biggest weakness is without a doubt academics - when it comes to rote memorization she's learned to manage, but anything more complex than that, such as analyzation or extrapolation, she fails at.
