There was no way they could get off here without the professor seeing what he was holding behind his back, so Vlad just leaned against the back wall of the elevator, both hands behind his back as if it was casual and hoped Cait would be pushing the right floor button.
Yeah, he was pretty embarrassed and very nervous. This was probably the most awkward elevator ride ever. He forced himself to go back to thinking about homework. Studious thoughts might help...unlikely though.
