In America today is a day for being thankful for the things in people's lives. Today was a day to celebrate family, friends, prosperity and health with food, family and friends. It is a time to reflect on what is important us and to recognize the gratitude we hold for having those things in our lives.

	As had been the tradition since before she was born, the whole entire JSA Brownstone was decked out for the annual Justice Society/Justice League Thanksgiving dinner. Several dinning tables had been set up, as well as a few tables with spreads of food. Mickey helped with getting the food out of the kitchen and onto the tables. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Dex would go anywhere where there was good food. This Earth custom seemed to be one he could get behind. It was about being thankful, but it was also about food. 	Mark had been talked into doing some cooking. So he was doing up the mashed potatoes. He didn't feel very comfortable with so many people but having the rest of the JSA around made him relax. 	Iris had invited the Titans (if they weren't already busy with their own holiday plans), to dinner at her house in Keystone. It wasn't quite the same, as Jai was still missing, but her family, along with Mitzi, who was stilling staying with the Wests, were making the best of it. Mitzi helps with the food while watching out for Iris. Mitzi is a decent cook, having had to do all of the cooking for herself and Annie until recently.

Mitzi stared off into space for a moment while she was washing vegetables, realizing that this is her first Thanksgiving without her mother. There's just something /wrong/ with that.

Of course, not watching what she's doing, she's only alerted to the sink overflowing once it's already happened and the water is ending up on the floor.

"Oh crap." she says, turning off the water and sighing.

The apartment that Terry shared with his mom and younger brother Matt was a little on the small side, but big enough to where they could have a small sized group of people over.

He stayed out of the way, letting his mother handle the cooking.

Terry had invited over his girlfriend, Dana, and like he did every year, told Maxine that she was more than welcome to come over. This year, after checking it over with his mother, he'd extended an invitation to Bruce, Marissa, and Maria (if Bruce decided to bring her), as well.

Though it didn't feel the same without her parents there, Rose had Thanksgiving dinner with Grandma and brother Jimmy, thankful that she still had them.

After wards, Rose went to her church to help volunteer for the annual Thanksgiving dinner that they held for those that couldn't afford to buy their own Thanksgiving dinner. She'd been volunteering it since she was a little girl, and she looked forward to bring a smile to peoples' faces.

	Thanksgiving wasn't something that Rose normally reserved. Her mother had never been big on the whole Thanksgiving dinner, and her father sure as hell wasn't one to have one, either. Cyrus had wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving. Some of the crew ended up helping him out. There was a sense that Cyrus was not doing this for himself even though he had gotten pretty bossy over it.

But the food was not very traditional. They ended up with substitutes that he had found. It at least looked good to him. And he had a cranberry like juice to sip away at as he stared at the table of prepared food.

	Alerron joins Cyrus, unsure of his understanding of this Thanksgiving holiday. Mar'i tried to explain it to him, too, as her father is human and celebrates it, but Alerron is still confused. Thanksgiving was something that Morgaine's family only really observed because it gave her mother an excuse to check up on them and badger them endlessly.

So when Damien informed her that Talia would be joining them for dinner, Morgaine was not surprised.

And in light of recent events, she expected that Damien was looking for something to keep his mind off of things.

She dressed and went to her brother's private quarters, waiting for her mother to arrive.

Damien has been taciturn and brooding since Lian's departure, though he continues to run the League's affairs efficiently. Work is the only thing keeping him sane now, and while he'd rather not have Mother asking questions today, he observes the holiday because the women in his life need it.

Lady Vic leaves Damien's room with a satisfied smirk on her face; Damien could care less, really.

When Morgaine arrives, Damien greets her and pulls out a chair for her.

"You look nice, Morgaine. Would you like a drink?" he asks.
