I caught on the news, yesterday, that there's been a couple of cases in my area... They also announced that frequent washing of one's hands is the best way to prevent it. (To which my response was: well, duh. *shakes head* The US is a post-industrial country, and we **still** have to be reminded to wash our hands?)

I'd say the best bet would be to cover one's exposed orifices. Hahaha! You'd be amazed how many people wash their hands improperly. Here's how to.

I don't live particulrly far from alazif, I'd imagine, and there was a break out at one of the highschools. A teenage girl. I was just wowed because of the numberof people she comes in contact with daily.
