History: While Gwen Duncan had heard of such things as true love and love at first sight, she didn't believe in things for herself. Coming from an old and storied family, she knew what she wanted to do early on and nothing was going to stop her plans. She was the daughter of an English Duke but had a love of adventure, must like her grandfather. She had it in her mind from when she was very young that she wanted a differnet destiny for herself. Not even a handsome young scientist who was not only brilliant but tenacious. And Jonas DuMaurier liked a challenge and he did find that in Gweneviere.

They were young, both barely 19 when they met each other and there was a lot of flirting going on but Gwen wasn't deterred and she was deployed during the tail end of the Mecha War, whereas Jonas was in University, working on research to further biochemisty engineering and technology. But he wasn't going to give up on the pretty girl pilot. Not by a longshot. Her teammates teased Gwen about her suitor but she scoffed at it, said it was nothing, and in the beginning that was true. But whether he wore her down or if it was meant to be, as the years passed Gwen found herself caring for Jonas and when she was honest with herself, Gwen had fallen in love with Jonas as well.

Nevermind that they came from different worlds and had specific life goals in their own respective careers, Jonas and Gwen thought it was worth the risk. And the risk was worth it if the last 30 years have been any indication. Moving to Amalthea for Jonas' work was a big step but a good one. And Gwen went where the orders dictated but it was good to have a home. They were married for five years before the children came - Simon, Sebastian, the twins, Stephane and Jacquelyn, and finally Jennifer. Despite their parents crazy and hectic lives, the family was happy and wanted for nothing.

Sebastian followed his brother and mother, and much of her mother's family before him and wanted to join the military and specifically he wanted to become a Mecha pilot. When he was of age, Sebastian went off to The École Spéciale Militaire de Lyon in Paris and focus on his studies, knowing only the best of the best would not only graduate but be accepted into Ganymede. Plus much as he loved his mother, he wanted to make a name for himself in the military, to build his own merits and reputation.

Away from home and very quickly Sebastian's mischievous side came to the for front and his easy nature and good looks made him fastly popular. He blossomed at school, becoming more outgoing and friendly. He worked hard in those years and then it was time for Ganymede Academy. There was a brief time when he waited to see if he was going to be going, but Sebastian was optimistic and stayed positive toward what he wanted.

Now he is in his Third Year at Ganymede. His most memorable moment thus far would have to be when he was awarded his Mecha. King Arthur made him feel brave and fearless and Sebastian studied and trained to make sure that continued through the Academy and beyond. He is still reckless and cocky, his sense of humour and playfulness is stronger than ever, but Sebastian has his ultimate goal - to become as great a pilot as he can and join Squad A after graduation.

Personality: Sebastian is fun-loving and extremely amiable. He comes from an aristocratic family and wants for nothing really but he is very down to earth and low-key. He is the jokester, the one who is laid-back and not often serious. Yet when he HAS to be, he can be very focused, practical and perfectionist. He is also kind and humble, not wanting attention for deeds but for skill, for making people laugh. Sebastian has found that keeping people happy, laughing will keep them from prying or questioning and that suits him just fine. Sometimes he can be quite a dichotemy, the smiling funny boy versus the professional, the one who loves flying and doing things so one has ever done before. But he is also very passionate about those things he loves - flying, soccer, his friends, family.

He loves history both military and cultural, both fascinated by tactics and decisions both in war and peacetime as well as the changes in culture, people and how the different societies and later the colonies developed and interacted. Sebastian has heard many stories from his mom and her unit over the years and it has only added to his interest.

Though he doesn't announce it all over the place, he is very much bisexual and has loved, and had crushes on, both male and female, as well as one night stands and short but memorable relationships such as they were. It's not that he doesn't want that but with the future he wants for himself, he wonders if there is any place in his life for more than that, despite the long and very happy marriage that his parents have had. Not to mention he may or may not have flirty crushes on some close friends, or even certain pilots in certain elite squadrons.

Above everything else, Sebastian is a fiercely loyal friend and teammate; one who is surprisingly dedicated to his work and school and who is far more emotional and deep that most others know, or that he's let them see. Those who are the closest to him, and there aren't that many, have seen this; they know the real Sebastian.

Appearance: He is 6'3" tall with a muscular frame but flexible due to the fencing and martial arts he takes. He suffers from asthma but treats it easily when it flairs up. Sebastian doesn't want it to be a hinderance to his training and his career. Otherwise, Sebastian is completely fit and healthy.

He has sandy brown hair that a bit longish but short enough to meet regulations. He had vivid green eyes that are green-green, not a hazel that goes from brown to gold to green, and as such are a very striking feature of his and something people notice first about him. Another is his smile which is big and brightens his face even with an overbite that he's had since he was little. Sebastian never wanted it fixed, thinking it made him special and gave him character.

When not in uniform, he dresses casually and much like anyone else his age. He doesn't partake of fashion trends and likes comfort though he does like to look good no matter what. Sebastian got his father's good looks mixed with his mother's colouring and piloting skill. Sebastian has an ornate Mecha drawing tattoo on his back but it is only ever seen when he is shirtless or wearing a tank top. He got it when he first got King Arthur.
