Alright, stop! Collaborate and listen!

Some hackers are giving Livejournal a hard time so here I am with Scribbld. I think I can post here in public since nobody knows me yet. I went through sites that are using Livejournal's code (it's open source, I think) and this is the most promising one yet.

I really don't know what to do with two journals now. At this very moment Livejournal is inaccessible and probably will be until the Russian elections is over.  I've been with Livejournal for a decade now and I didn't know about the transfer of their servers to Russia. I don't want to discriminate and say just because it is outside the US or because the servers are in some communist (or socialist?) country I don't feel safe with my data. But there is actually something going on there, these denial of service attacks is at first for me was a form of bullying but now I feel it's terrorist in nature. A huge bulk of the LJ group are in Russia and there's a group that wants to deny the Russians freedom of expression. It's nothing new. Blogger and Google are blocked in China.

I feel bad for the Livejournal staff in Russia though. I know the last thing they want to happen is for users like me to leave. But I am not leaving for good. I've taken leaves of absences from LJ before when I decided to start blogs in Blogger, Wordpress, Movable Type, Tumblr, Vox, etc. but I always return to Livejournal. Maybe next year I'll be back or sooner.
