and this is all I have to show

Player: Ashe.
Email: such.melodrama[at]gmail[dot]com.
AIM: frakking cylon.

Character Name: Yelena Zolnerovna Romanova (Note: In a twist on Russian naming conventions, Zolnerovna is the feminine form of Zolnerowich, which means 'son of the soldier', since she's the daughter of Winter Soldier).
Codename: Black Widow.
Character LJ: [info]chernayavdova.
Physical description: 5'3. 110 lbs. Red hair. Green eyes.
Age: 24. Sort of. This one is complicated, because she spent a long time in cryostatis, and chronologically she's 58. But physically, and in terms of life experience, she's 24.
Birthday: 22 January, 1955.
PB: Amanda Seyfried
Abilities: Because her mother had the Red Room variant of the Super Soldier serum, and because she was subjected to experiments in her youth, Yelena carries the benefits of that formula, demonstrating the peak of human potential in strength, speed, agility, reflexes and durability. Her senses are likewise heightened and she has an enhanced immune system and longevity. She's incredibly proficient with weapons, primarily guns, knives and the Widow's Bite wrist weapons, as well as all manner of improvised weaponry. As an assassin, she is highly skilled at unarmed combat.
Weaknesses and flaws: She has a difficult time connecting to other people, due to her past, and has a hard time with emotions, both in terms of understanding them in others and in processing her own emotions. She is used to following orders, which makes it harder for her to think for herself in the field. On a more interpersonal level, she never had most of the experiences others have growing up and this leaves her feeling disconnected from the world at large.
Character Location/Home: Her home is another reality, but she's hanging around SHIELD. Because reasons.
Alignment: Hero.
Relatives: Natalia Alianovna Romanova (mother), James Buchanan Barnes (father, deceased), Steven Grant Rogers (godfather/"uncle"), Sharon Carter Rogers ("aunt"), Charles Anthony James Rogers ("cousin")

Backstory: Back in the 1950s, the Red Room had two top operatives, Black Widow and Winter Soldier. The two were romantically linked and, in the late 1950s, they had a child. Yelena Zolnerovna Romanova was taken from her parents to be raised as a Red Room operative and Bucky and Natasha had any memory of the child removed with the organisation's brainwashing technology. She was trained to be a master assassin, kept in the Red Room for the entirety of her childhood, and she never had the normal experiences others had growing up. Later on, when she was eighteen, Yelena was placed in cryogenic stasis to keep her existence a secret. The plan was to later use her as a tool to take down her parents. Unfortunately, she ended up lost to time, stuck in cryostasis as the Red Room collapsed. Much later, she was discovered by Charles Rogers, and released from stasis. When she was taken to SHIELD, medical tests revealed her parentage and she was reunited with her mother and father, whose memories of her existence were restored. Her family, along with Charlie, helped her to adjust to a normal life, and she spent the next several years adapting to life outside the Red Room. She joined SHIELD, accepting the normal training period in spite of her abilities, and took on her mother's former codename, working with the new generation of Avengers. Things were going well, until a battle where her father died and she ended up pulled through a dimensional rift and into an entirely new universe.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Dimensional break?
What are you planning to do with this character? Have her work for SHIELD, possibly with Charlie if Allie brings him in.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: All the things.

Sample post:
It was not often Yelena allowed herself to admit that she was in anything less than complete control of herself, but she felt that these were special circumstances. Her father was dead. Though she had only known him a handful of years, in some ways that had been her entire life. The guilt she felt was unsettling, but not entirely unexpected. They were a team and she had failed him. And now, she was in a strange new world, and it all felt too sharply similar to those first days coming out of cryogenic sleep, confusing and all too unsettling. She was at SHIELD, but it felt wrong. In truth, everything felt wrong. Her mother was married to Stark. Her father was nowhere to be found, though in truth seeing him might have been worse than not when the pain of his loss was still so fresh. She had "sisters" and a "brother", but felt no closer to them than she had to any of her "siblings" in the Red Room.

She missed Charlie. It was stupid, a wasteful emotion, but she did. She missed his stupid nicknames and his terrible plans and the way he and Hawkeye would bicker more than their fathers ever had. She missed being in a place where she knew her purpose. She felt adrift, lost and angry, and she shoved the mess of emotions down. She'd never been skilled in navigating the paths of interpersonal interactions. She could fake it, put on a mask as easily as any spy, but it wasn't the same. Right now, she felt as though her mask was cracking, this agony spilling through for all to see. She hated it. She felt weak, and she never wanted to feel weak. If she had been like Banner, her emotions displayed across her skin for all to see, she could only imagine she would be dripping red.

Shaking her head, she turned back to the sandbag she'd been fighting, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. Focusing. She was being childish. She needed to move past those emotions and find her calm. Kicking out hard, she frowned as the bag came loose from its chain at the force and fell to the ground. Not today then. Perhaps tomorrow.
