In his final years, Andersen was asked if he would write a final autobiography. He responded that he did - the ugly duckling. He also once said that he was born with more luck than talent, hence the "lucky." Which rhymes with ugly. Yeah. Shhh.
Edgar Cayce: somnambuliste
Somnambulism, aside from being a medical term for sleepwalking, is also the name of a particular brand of monster made popular by the silent film
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The villain in this movie is a sleepwalking prophet, which is what Casey views himself as. Casey gets his visions only in his sleep, and he believes he's a monster for them - just like Cesare in the film (and the somnambulists that arrived in later German expressionist movies, which were characterized as zombies, essentially.)
James Corbett: laws-of-man
Jim Corbett was a strong conservationist despite his reputation as a hunter. He had a deep respect for animals, and he only killed big cats when they posed a tangible threat to the human population. However, even then he expressed remorse over it, and wrote that he felt guilty killing them because what they were doing "was not against the laws of nature, but against the laws of man."

Gosh, here's another pretty uninspired one. Everything I tried to name his journal was taken, so I settled on this, the title of one of my favorite Verne stories.
Assia Wevill: filthywoman
Honestly, this might be my favorite one, because it's so damn appropriate. Ted Hughes often referred to Assia as "filthy", calling her "filthy with erotic mystery" in one poem. Later, after Plath had killed herself and Assia moved into her home, she wrote in her journal that she could never be more than the "filthy woman who murdered Sylvia" to Hughes.
