Aftermath and Beginings.
Katima had opted not to return to Earth. Something about the battle had made it clear to her that, while she loved the boys, that was not where she was meant to be. She was linked to Alerron; something in her heart told her that and so she sent away her friends and she herself stayed behind. The wounds she had sustained were painful, but not dire. She would be fine and the bruises would heal. Physical things were minor, compared to the feelings she was reading from people on New Tameran.

She sought out Alerron. She could tell he was suffering. She could tell he was worrying about his sister.

Alerron, indeed, suffers at this moment. His own pain is nothing. An hour or so in the sun has done major work in healing his wounds, his physical pain, but finding Katima beaten by Mongul, in addition to what happened to his sister and his parents had pushed Alerron near to breaking.

He stands alone on a terrace on Tamaran, staring out over the horizon and trying to determine what will happen next. He hears Katima's footfalls long before she find him, but he doesn't turn around.

"Hello, Indigo Woman. How are you feeling?" he asks.

	"I am well, Alerron. How...how are you faring?" She moves to stand just a bit beside him, though she hangs back a step or two. If he wants to be alone, she'll leave him to his solitude. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I am alive, Katima. That is much more than I can say for some." he says. He does not turn to face her, but he doesn't tell her to leave, either. Despite his current demeanor, he needs someone near him right now, or he may do something foolish.

"How...how did you do it? When we parted ways, how did you seal away your memories of me so that they did not hurt you? I am in need of sealing off my heart, Katima, before this pain devours me whole." he tells her.

"I did not seal my heart, Alerron," she said quietly. "Every thought of you hurt it's true, but the reason for the pain was the love and the happiness we shared. The first days were the hardest. I blamed the good feelings for the pain that was tearing me in two, but it was the good that I kept reaching for. I'd feel the pain or missing you...and immediately find myself trying to bury away my feelings by clinging to the good things.

"At some point I realized that I was disrespecting you by being so harmed by my pain that every good thing about you had become a secondary reaction. And then I realized that even the pain was a manifestation of how much I loved you. It soon became something that drove me."

She sighed a little.

"It..probably makes very little sense. "

	"I believe I understand, somewhat. This world has taken everything from me, Katima, and given me nothing back. It is nearly as bad as Daxam and what they did to my father when they cast him out." 	He relaxed somewhat as wrapped her arms around him, letting out a deep sigh. "Indigo Woman, I would like that, but I would never ask you to leave your friends. 	"That is a serious statement, Katima. You have been a member of the Indigo Tribe nearly your whole life. I do not want you to end your commitment to them on my behalf. 	She looked away a little. Yes, she knew how serious her statement was and she knew the ramifications of potentially breaking her commitments to the Tribe. It scared her. "I would not want you to suffer on my behalf, Alerron, and I believe your sister would say much the same. We will help her recover and we will find a place that we can start anew. Ungara is a peaceful place and very welcoming. My parents had friends there who would be very happy for us to visit. Or we could go to Mogo for a bit and relax there until determining what to do. We would be welcome."

"Ungara sounds like a peaceful place. I think we should go there. I cannot go to Mogo; I would go insane waiting on developments on my parents. We will see your parents' friends and give you time to catch up. Perhaps a change of scenery will also do Mar'i much good." Alerron nods.

It would do him a great deal of good as well.

"We will need to secure passage, but Natand'r will aid us. He...is interested in bridging the gap between us." Alerron says.
