Summary: It's distraction/birthday/any excuse to make Sera drink time!
Though she still hadn't apologized for her actions at the hospital, and though she was still on the fence about just how safe she felt Tatum was, Hunter was doing her best to make the next couple of days as easy-going as possible. Mack's birthday dinner, assembled with both Kia and Sera's help, had gone off without a hitch. Their new apartment was great, both of the girls like it, and it felt like home already even with boxes in mid-unpacked states everywhere. With all of their family and friends gathered around the table, even if they were only eating barbeque and taking the piss out of each other over drinks, it made it feel even more like home. She still hadn't told her parents she was leaving their house, she had used a fair bit of their money for the little renovations she and Mack had done on the apartment, but there was still time for that. She wasn't trying to dwell on that tonight.
Tonight, the name of the game was distraction. Mack's actual birthday had been fine and dandy, a good dinner and some good laughs, but the full moon was still tomorrow night. Tatum's first full moon, hopefully taken in New Orleans, where Mack couldn't be near her if Hunter could help it. She knew the shorter blonde was worked up and crazy enough to try to go with, she'd probably try to turn into a badger and just join in the run or something. Hunter wasn't having it.
They had stayed in on Mack's actual birthday, so her reasoning for tonight was that since Michi had suggested a girls night for her and Tatum, Hunter had rallied up the troops for a guys night. Well, none of the four of them were guys, but still. She and Mack already had fake IDs, Kia was of age, and Hunter wasted no time getting a fake ID for Sera to use. She could be the designated apparator or something if she was that concerned. Ignoring the brunette's protests, Hunter just told the girl to order some damn wine and had made sure that Le would check on the girls before whisking the other four off for the evening.
Tonight, she had asked Michi to help the redhead pack a few of her things to go away with, while they hung out. From what Hunter gathered, Tatum would be leaving tomorrow with Sam, and coming back Saturday, presumably in much worse shape. But better shape than she'd be in if she stayed on campus and accidentally ate somebody.
Her plan was for them to stay out all night, though she wasn't sure Sera or Kia was aware of it. When they got back tomorrow morning, hopefully Tatum would be gone already, and Mack could avoid the tearful goodbye and then just begin waiting for her to come back. Hunter wasn't sure what her plan was to occupy her friend while she did that waiting, maybe she'd make her unpack all of the kitchen junk they had. Still, her intentions were good, and she planned to have a good time. Full moons aside, this was still sort of Mack's birthday party. She only wished she could have gotten strippers or something, that woul have distracted her, especially after a few drinks.
The blonde chose a club that she was vaguely familiar with, just a few short blocks from where she had tracked down the guy in line at another club to use for her polyjuice potion. They got in pretty easily, the bouncer hesitating on Hunter the longest surprisingly, before letting them inside. The place was crowded, pounding with music, and she leaned over so the other three could hear her. "I guess that means I got a baby face and y'all look like haggard old whores! He waved you right on!" she laughed, prodding Sera's shoulder hard. "Told ya," she added, already leading them all toward the bar, pushing through the throng of dancing people.
