A Little Time Off Work....(Anya)
Austin hasn't seen Anya in months, so he caught a flight into Boston and called her when he was on the road to his apartment. When he got to his place, he pulled the dust covers off of everything and turned on the news. More news about the Royal Wedding, more news about the President, and there was a minor story about Austin himself and his co-star from his latest movie, Sudden Violence II, Sarah Donovan. It wasn't really like that, but the media was going to say what they wanted to, despite the facts.

After a little bit of relaxation, Austin gives Anya call.

	"Well, I just finished Sudden Violence II in Chicago, so I've got a bit of off time before the A-Team sequel in September. That's out next year." he says. "I'm good, though. Just got back to Boston and I've been lookin' forward to the time off." Austin says. "Sorry to hear about the long-distance thing. Any plans to go see him anytime soon?" he asks. 	Anya showered, put on clean clothes and had dinner already delivered by the time Austin got there. Dinner was left on the counter in the kitchen and she ran downstairs to meet him when she heard the bike. "Nice!" she said when she saw it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Austin made his way through the streets of Boston, feeling better than he had in months. He was able to have a nice night with Anya without feeling awkward, and he felt, for the first time in months like his luck was turning around. Not to mention, he'd found a message from his ex-girlfriend, Sarah, on his phone.

Tonight was good night.

He opened the door to his apartment and stepped inside, singing to himself when the sense of something being wrong hit him.

He could smell perfume. It was faint, but there. He'd never brought anyone home with him, not even Anya.

"Who's there?" Austin asks, going for the gun he keeps in the closet near the door.

Something skitters across the floor and bumps into his foot. His gun.

"Looking for that?" a deep, discordant voice asks from the darkness. "Good instincts. Didn't think I wore much of the scent. Don't worry; where you're going, you won't need the gun."

Austin reaches down to grab the weapon, not taking his eyes off the area the voice is coming from. He thinks he sees a hint of red clothing, but the blood red eyes that peer at him make him stare in shock. It's the last thing he sees before he hears a word and collapses.

The figure steps from the shadows and whispers another set of words. A second later, it disappears with Austin Caine.
