Birthday fools!
April fool's day was not only a day that Annie and her father spent trying to out-prank each other, it was also her birthday. And the birthday of two good friends of hers, Barbie and Avia. So, Annie had decided that this year, she was throwing a huge birthday blowout for the three of them. After clearing it with Barbie and Avia, Annie had sent out invitations to their respective teammates, as well as the JSA, the Titans, and Cindy and her team, too. She'd spent the whole morning getting everything set up, and she'd gotten a giant birthday cake for the three of them. Annie looked over everything, making sure that everything was set up while she waited for everyone to arrive.

Hugs indeed, and then Barbie handed Annie a small brown paper package tied up with string. It contained a set of decorative steampunkish magnifying glasses.

"I was thinking of getting Avia Pink Fuzzy Handcuffs of Justice, but I wanted to be sensitive to Will. So I just bought her a Heifer cow and some shade-grown chocolates," she whispers as she sets another box on the table.

Barbie, Annie, and Avs? Three of Dinah's favorite people, all celebrating on the same day? It made shopping easy.

Not that Dinah was any good at shopping at all. But! Charitable donations for Avia, the Complete Hercule Periot on DVD for Annie, and a new laptop with several games and programs she'd authored herself for Barbie.

"Happy birthday peeps, and other candy-related confectionery people!"
