Despite the Professors' urging for students to use this time to catch up on assignments, STEWART ACKERLEY has declared that the day be devoted to a free-for-all Quidditch game! Players as well as spectators are needed, and may the best team win!

- It seems that ROMILDA VANE isn't on the best terms with PROFESSOR SLUGHORN and now the sixth year Potions class has a 3' essay to write! Professor Slughorn is adamant that an in-class argument between himself and Ms. Vane has nothing to do with this alarming assignment, but her classmates see otherwise.

- The House Elves are taking a stand! After a terrible mess in the Ravenclaw common room and an unfortunate run in with a Mr. MICHAEL CORNER, all of the House Elves refuse to do their duties at Ravenclaw Tower, despite pleas from the Headmistress. Perhaps Mr. Corner should attempt to reconcile with them?

- Will PEEVES ever behave? GARRICK SUMMERBY was, quite literally, attacked by that nuisance poltergeist! Peeves, expecting the boy to dodge his attempts, had thrown a book which incidentally hit Summerby in the eye. Fear not, the boy is well with the exception of a bruise, thanks to the miracle that is Madam Pomfrey.

- RONALD WEASLEY has won 10 points from Gryffindor from PROFESSOR SNAPE! Which makes one wonder what has the Defence against the Dark Arts teachers in high spirits? The students can only speculate!

- BIANCA DUNSTAN has lost 5 points for Slytherin from PROFESSOR FLITWICK. What's going on, Slytherin? Not interested in winning the House Cup, this year?
