No pics, so anything I did or didn't do yesterday doesn't count. So TPTHTTTT!
Yesterday was Mardi Gras. Didn't do all that much, actually. Certainly not as much as certain fundies and meme-creators who've never visited the city would have you believe.
Honest. ^^;;
I suppose the fact that most of the people who I'd normally enjoy parades with are still scattered to Hell and back dampened things a bit. :( At least I was in town for it this year: while Victoria has very nice people, and a local bakery actually had pretty good king cakes for sale (whether that was a normal thing, or a tip-of-the-hat to the evacuees in town, I still don't know) it's not a "party town" by any stretch of the imagination. Gonna miss this place when I finally do leave for good...
But there are things I WON'T miss, like the arrival of spring, which manifested itself this morning in the first torrential downpour of the year. Even as I type this, it's raining cats, dogs and miniature pot-bellied pigs, which I'll soon have to run out into to get to work. Joy.
On a more positive note, I came across the following this morning. Having dealt with a depressingly large number of people who share Hardaway's views on gays, I nearly pissed myself laughing when I saw it. Next time it happens, I'm tempted to try it.
