Council Meeting
Below or above the surface, Atlantis was Atlantis. Not much had changed in the city and with the people even though it was now an island on the surface of the water. There was still rebuilding to do, but the population of the city went about their daily lives and politics and government never took a break.

It was Cait's first weekend in Atlantis as part of the deal with her mother and Arthur. Ty was with her and so far Arthur had been on his best behavior. Ty was stressed and Cait was stressed, but they were able to handle it. For now.

Today was a council meeting and Cait was looking forward to it. She had an ace up her sleeve and with any luck, after the meeting she won't be betrothed to Cerdian.

She took a deep breath and walked into the council chambers.

Lord Ozell is here as usual. He is always on time and ready to get things settled. The older Lord always wishes to make things run smoothly.

His job has not been made easy by the going-ons in Atlantis lately. Everyone has been afraid or angry and so he has been trying to find a way to help lessen that.

But it is good to see the Princess here. It lightens his old heart. "My Lady. It is good to see you here."

	As he sees his daughter, Arthur tries hard not to betray anything, to not show any sign of weakness before the council. Mera, as usual, has gotten him to moderate his views - now he needs to sell this agreement to the council, and that means giving them any edge, or any hint he's seeking special favors for his daughter. Technically Cait should be adressed as 'your highness' but she wasn't one to get prickly about it. She wanted the council members on her side for this meeting and not on the defensive. Right now she would play nicely. There was a small twinge of guilt knowing she was going to manipulate them into doing what she wanted.

"My Lord Ozell, it's a pleasure to see you again. How have you been?"
