Gavin! For when Sabrina wakes up ;]
Who actually went to school to study?

Kobe gritted her teeth as she scratched out another paragraph of her potions essay, realizing that she was completely contradicting herself from the paragraph before. By the looks of it, she was going to have to start a brand new essay and that was going to take another seven plus hours, and this Hufflepuff really didn't have the patience for it.

Except she always remained seated until she was done. Hardworking, yes, but Kobe didn't have to like it or refuse to complain throughout the duration of it.

Which could prove annoying to her roommates and housemates, so she'd learned early on in her school career to take to the library to try and finish the more frustrating assignments. Far away from the librarian, too, who Kobe was sure had banned her from library at least ten times for noise. But, honestly. How could you ban a student from the student library? Well---no, there was that one time when Madam Pince actually refused to let Kobe in--around O.W.L.s time, but Professor Sprout had pulled some strings and gotten her in. Gotta love your head of house.

"That's it---" she threw down her quill and ran her hands over her face in defeat. She was just going to have to rewrite the damn thing, and hope it made sense. She was already hanging on by a thread in N.E.W.T.s Potions, this would probably just be the thing that cuts the bloody thing and sends her spiraling down into...well. Free time.

But she wanted this damn N.E.W.T.

Even though Gavin was in his final and seventh year of Hogwarts, and Head Boy to boot, he had to admit, he kind of still didn't have this whole "studying" and "homework" thing figured out yet. He heard people say that their studying skills had improved exponentially the longer they stayed in school, but he felt like it was the opposite for him. As he got older, he got lazier. Sometimes that worried him.

So this year, he had vowed to buckle down more and not let fooling around or procrastination (two things he was very good at) gum up the works. Besides, being Head Boy, he had to show some example, right? He had already figured out that if he worked in his room, he would get distracted by other things; if he worked in the common room, he would chat it up with other procrastinators. Thus, this only left him with one option - the library. He never really was fond of the library except when he wanted a quick nap in between classes, but... this essay was not going to write itself.

He went over to the back of the library, where few students were sitting, and as he sat down, his gaze went directly towards a head of long dark hair sitting about two tables up. Oi, he knew that head! It was a back of a head he had enjoyed watching for the past six or so years. He opened his mouth to say something but shut it. She was bent over the table, scribbling furiously, and though the temptation was quite high, he knew that if he wanted to live, he would have to keep his mouth shut. For now.

However, about two lines in (two lines including his name, subject, year, and er, that was about it), Kobe's exasperated exclamation caught his attention. Not one to ever ignore Kobe, although Kobe certainly did her best to ignore him, he scribbled a quick "Need help???" on a spare piece of parchment, crumpled it up, and with a flick of his wand, sent it soaring to land on her table.

She probably would flick it back to his head, but hey, at least he tried, right?

The ball of parchment landed gently on top of her scribbled out essay, and Kobe's eyes shot up to see who had sent it over. Of course it was Gavin, when wasn't it Gavin? It's like---he was obsessed with her, or something.

Except he hadn't been paying that much attention to her, lately, but. Still.

With a great breath, she opened up the paper and read the short message, lips being sucked in as she thought about the consequences. Yes, consequences. If she let Gavin help her, he'd have to talk to her. If she continued to let him help her, he would be near her for a long period of time. If Gavin actually did a good job at his bit of tutoring, she was going to have to see him again, and again, because Kobe didn't like putting things to waste.

Ugh.

Looking very indecisive for a few long moments (Kobe was very good at this expression, and turning on one of complete and utter boredom), she finally tilted her head over at Gavin and nodded, kicking out a chair with her foot to indicate that she was not going to move to go over there. That would mean that she was like---eager, or something.

Which she wasn't.
