"Why'd you have to go tell him?!"

Great. This was just...argh. Here he thought he'd done a good job keeping it a secret, and even when Maria had found out he'd thought she'd keep it from Bruce the way he kept her secrets from the Boss too. "I've never breathed a word about your dancing to him," he hisses at her. "And you go right ahead and tell him about...why?!" Maria finding out about...whatever it was between him and the thief, he could live with. If only because he'd thought that she wouldn't go telling the freakin' Batman, because along with the intense disapproval he knew was coming he'd also get a heap of hypocritical lecturing. From the goddamn Batman! As if he'd never done the exact same thing.

	Maria felt like hell. She hadn't meant for Thomas' secret to get out, but damn Bruce had to be Bruce. No one on Earth could stand up to /that look/ when Bruce gave it. "I didn't tell him," she said. That didn't improve his mood much. "You don't just confirm things for him! Feign ignorance, lie, bluff, whatever works!" Because if there was one thing worse than Batman with a suspicion it was Batman who had that suspicion confirmed. "I did it for you, why couldn't you just..." Frustrated he kicks the nearest thing, which happens to be a fallen couch cushion that hits the wall with a loud thump that does nothing to soothe his anger.

"Right. Well that makes everything better doesn't it?" He knows he's becoming too sarcastic now but he needs to take out his frustration somehow, and property destruction was not a good option.

He puts on a rather accurate, if exaggerated, imitation of Bruce's voice and manner, "Thomas, Maria's been looking in on that club rather often, why?"
"Oh, she had a tip on some mob stuff we're working on."
"Thomas, do you know what this green mask Maria has is from?"
"Dunno, YJLA thing I heard. They're a weird lot."

He huffs angrily and just glares for a moment once he's done. "And now I have to clean up this mess," he growls, his mind already working on how he's going to have to deal with this.

Thomas sits on the arm of the couch and sighs. He's still angry, but he knows it's not going to help with anything. "Right. And what exactly were you going to do?" Because cat's out of the bag so to speak, he doesn't see how she can help him out with this. He makes a mental note that, when it comes to secrets and ones you don't want found out, treat her the same as Alt-Dad.

	He stops to think about it for a second, "...Tell him a secret you didn't want him to know. Anything, I'm not saying it has to be the dancing. It can be something minor. 	Well it'd be a little awkward around the Manor, with Bruce being mad at them both and Thomas still annoyed, but she kept her word this time so a few nights later Thomas offers to go on patrol together. It's a truce offering and an indication that he actually does want to mend bridges. Bruce will get over it, eventually. (Reply to this)(Parent)
