Caleigh is talking up a storm now, just because she can. It's actually rather adorable. Of course, none of it makes much logical sense, but she knows what she means, even if nobody else does. Stell, dear, she keeps asking about 'Auntie Sella'. You should come by, and bring Jacob by. Caleigh could use a bit of company. She's still a bit young for a pet, but I'm worrying she gets lonely, what with the hours I work at St. Mungo's.

If you have time, we should grab lunch on Friday. I have a small break between shifts. If you're not too busy, I'm sure Florence could watch Jacob.

Mal, I'll be home late this week. One of the healers is sick and I have to cover some shifts.

You know, she could have something small like a rabbit or a hamster. Naturally, she wouldn't be able to take care of it herself, but it'd still be something to play with, no?

Late again?

If you think it best, I suppose it might be good for her. It's always good for children to learn responsibility early on. We can stop by Magical Menagerie and look around a bit on Sunday if you don't have anything else to do.

Healer Jordan has come down with the flu. It is that time of year. I'll try not to be too late.

I don't see why she shouldn't have a bit of company, I'm sure she'd love it. Sunday sounds fine.

No worries. Take all the time you need.

I'm sure she would. I just wonder if three's a little young. But you're probably right, dear.

Alright. I just didn't want you worry. Not that you would.

It could be, but since she's alone, having something around as company for her would be nice. After all, I'm sure she gets sick of being around me all the time.

As long as I know where you are.

You're right, of course. Company would be good for her, though I doubt she'd get sick of her own mother.

Which is why I keep you informed.

You got sick of your own wifeI suppose you're right. We'll look around Sunday, let her pick. She does have eyes, after all.

Which is good because I'd want to know so I wouldn't worry.

Why do we even discuss these things? Talking things out with you is like being held under Cruciatus. She'll probably enjoy picking for herself. It will make her feel grown up. You know she loves being treated like a big girl.

And I'd hate for you to worry. If you'd like to bring Caleigh by tomorrow night, we can have dinner together when I get a break in my shift. It will be nice to see my girls.

She does. Perhaps ice cream after? She loves ice cream, or at least a nice lunch. Let her be in charge for the day.

That'd be great. Do you want me to bring anything?

That would be very nice, love. I know she'll love it. And it will be nice to relax after this week.

Just yourself and Caleigh.

Is Friday good for you for lunch?

Yes, yes, I've got early classes that day. Stay away from the sick healer, though! Don't want the baby catching something.

I'll meet you at the Leaky at half twelve. And don't worry, Stell. I am keeping as far away as possible. I really don't have time to be sick right now.

I don't think Caleigh would appreciate being called a baby.

And she loves you for it. She's just at that age when she wants everyone to know she's a big girl.

You'll see for yourself when Jacob reaches that stage.

Maybe I'll bring her some of the big girl slippers, then.

Oy, the books are recommending he start potty training! Not sure if I'm ready for this. He's still a baby--

Oh, she'll adore you, Stell.

You'll survive, I promise. It will be...well...an adventure, but you'll handle it. I have complete faith in you.
