[Pucey]

My cousin is back in the UK.

I hope what happened in school is all in the past as I am sure he will be trying out for a team over here.

Are you going to the Halloween festival?

[Min]

How are you? Going out this Halloween?

Yeah, Skip, fine. Yourself?

Was thinking about going to the Halloween Festival. You know, to get out of the house. Saw you were doing that 'Flying with the Falcons' thing. I do not envy you there, cousin. Maybe you should transfer to a team in Australia... Halloween's not really a big thing over there.

I'm confused fine.

You should come. Coach will be there, perfect chance to talk yourself up. Me and small children don't mix. I am dreading it, cousin. First years were bad enough at Hogwarts. Australia? I don't know, the heat might kill me.

Okay, I'll be there. Parents won't be there. They think the event sounds "dreadfully plebeian". At least, I think those were the exact words Mother said.

You should have seen the First Years after you left. Most came up to the Durmstrang boys knees.

Not hot all year 'round. Wollongong wasn't too bad. Games in the desert were killer. Too hot to play in the day - even in winter - so we played night games. Gets below freezing out there some nights.

Ha, that sounds about right. I doubt your Uncle will be there either. Tiny people.

Well that doesn't make sense. A cold desert. I like the sound of night games. Was the pitch lit magically?

You saying my Dad and old Leopold would agree on something. Brace yourself, Skip, that's probably the first sign of the apocalypse.

Yeah, cold desert. Cause there's nothing out there to hold the heat. Sun's the only thing warming the place so that when it gets dark, it gets cold. Well, something along those lines. Someone explained it once, wasn't really listening. But now I think about it, I guess that's why a lot of Muggles don't live out there. They need elektricity to get warm and there is none of that in a desert.

Lit magically and had a huge warming charm over it. Pretty smart if you ask me. You should just go there one year. Maybe not to play but just to see it. Hey, maybe you might make the National Team and get the chance to play on the night pitch.

Well, old Leo talking to me would be the second sign, Min, so let's hope that never happens. He'd crucio me for using his first name.

Oh, right. You know quite a bit about Muggle stuff then? What's a Superboy? Been invited to a party, have to wear a costume...

I'd like to play there, especially for England. But we'll see.

The Cannons have more of a chance at winning the Quidditch Cup than there being a chance of Uncle Leo wanting have a chat with you, Skip. So, I think I'm pretty safe.

Not really. Picked up bits and pieces listening to the teammates back in Australia. Nothing about a Superboy, though. Sorry. Sounds like an interesting party.

Yeah, I'd love to play for England before Dad dies one day. But like you said, we'll see.

Haha, sounds about right, Min.

It should be a good one. There's a club my Seeker took the team to. They have a theme night ever day over Halloween weekend. On Saturday I'm going. You could come too. If you're free?

You're good enough, just need a first string spot somewhere.

Saturday? Yeah... I should be free. We unemployed types usually are.

Naww, thanks Skip. You really know how to make a bloke blush. If you don't make the English Team the selectors have rocks in their head. No idea why they didn't pick you last year for the World Cup side. That was abysmal.

Excellent, come over to mine at about 9pm? I think it opens earlier than that, but I don't feel like queuing.

Welcome, Min. Yeah, I don't know what that was about. Maybe I was too much of a rookie.

Alright. 9pm then. What me to bring some pre-club drinks over?

No use worrying about that, yeah? Can't change the past.

'Course he is. And 'course I am, work and all.

Think he'd like a pick up match while he sets up try outs and such? Been a while since I've been on a broom. School days are exactly that, Flint, no worries on my end.

That's a good idea. Do you keep in touch with any of the others? Could get a few of us. That is if you don't mind playing with me too.

See you at the festival then. I'm there doing pr stuff.
