It was a day full of meetings and scheduled phone calls. As always. Anya looked at the clock and had twenty minutes before her next meeting. Just enough time to head down to the cafeteria and grab something to eat. She was starving and needed some caffeine. She had too much blood in her caffeine stream. She hated it when that happened.

She stood up and left the office heading for the cafeteria.

When the office door opened, Sunny the Awesomely Amazing Assistant was disconnecting a call and reaching for a carafe he kept full of Jamaican Blue. It paid to have coffee handy at all times. The boss might need it to make the trip to the cafeteria to get more.

He offered it to her before she got past his desk. "Wherever you're going, you're not. I'll reschedule everything on your list today. You're wanted in New York ASAP."

	"I was going to the cafeteria for some food. I'm starving." Her stomach rumbled to emphasize the point. "Wanted as in this will be yum yum naked time, or wanted as in more work?" He opened a desk drawer, produced a peanut butter protein bar and held it out as well. "Your father called. He said it's an emergency, but your mother and little brother are safe." He nodded toward the wall screen running mute with the news of the day. "I imagine it has to do with that. I said I'd get you on the next flight out, but he told me you'd handle your own transportation."

	There was hardly any time to react, but Bea didn't really have to consciously understand the problem to react to it. Her hand automatically curled around gun on the immediate nightstand and fired, an unsilenced shot going off in the night. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Blasts and explosions fit right into Kelly's dreams, so she stirs a bit, on the edge of consciousness, but doesn't immediately awaken. The single shot amidst the noise though causes her to sit bolt upright in bed. She'd know the sound of that ASP anywhere, and unlike herself, Bea was not prone to using dangerous items at bedtime. 	First up was calling Anya's assistant, and ascertaining what he knew and what he didn't -- and what he'd done and what he hadn't, hopefully. Bea wasn't the sociopath in the family, but she also wasn't brought up not to double-check people. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	He typed her name into the PDA. The name wasn't familiar to him, but she might be a contact for the boss and it should kick up some info. It did. Very little info but enough that indicated she was known to Ms. Stark. "What can I do for you, Ms. Dayspring?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
