The Hartman residence seemed to have a surplus of cookies on nights that Aaron knew he was having Ashleigh over. He knew how much she loved cookies, so he made sure he always had more than enough on hand. Along with other equally sugary junk food.
It was Friday night and there was going to be no homework done. He was looking forward to a night with Ashleigh without school books and math equations. He’d rented a few movies that he thought she’d like...not that he was planning on actually watching an entire movie, or most of one.
He managed to get the house to himself, with a little bribery and planning. Aaron had taken a shower and gotten dressed in an outfit that he knew he looked good in. His hair was artfully messy and he had a few dabs of cologne on.
There was a bowl of hot popcorn on the table, plates full of cookies and some other random movie junk food. All he was waiting for was for her to get here. He had a really good feeling that tonight was going to be a great night.
"Thanks! I so owe you!"
Ashleigh flashed her companions a bright grin as she climbed out of the backseat. They were quick to assure her that they hadn't been inconvenienced by giving her a lift, but they couldn't possibly understand how grateful she was. After all, what teenaged girl wanted to ask her father to drive her to a boy's house?
Moments later, she was standing on the front porch of the Hartman house. Rather than immediately ringing the doorbell, though, she took a moment to run her hands over her clothes and through her hair. It was an understatement to say that she was nervous. Who could fault her for that, though? Aaron Hartman was beyond attractive, and he seemed to be interested in her. What sane girl wouldn't be nervous?
After making sure that she wasn't too mussed from the ride over, she lifted a hand and pressed the button to the left of the door. A large smile moved over her features when the door opened, and she greeted him a little too quickly with a very bright, "Hello!"
It went without saying, of course, but she hoped that it was going to be a good night.
Aaron grinned when he heard the chimes of the doorbell. There was only one person it could be and he wasted no time making his way to the door. He had a bright smile on his face when he opened up the door to see Ashleigh standing there.
"Hey beautiful," he said greeting her, as he stepped back to let her cross the threshold to get inside.
He leaned in to give her a kiss as a proper welcoming once he'd closed the door.
Her cheeks warmed with a blush when he greeted her. It wasn't the first time he'd called her beautiful, but she didn't think she would ever get used to the way he always complimented her.
"Hello," she murmured, not realizing that she'd already said that.
Once he'd ushered her into the house, she turned back to wait for him. Before she could say anything, though, he was brushing his lips over hers.
Her hands rested lightly on his chest as she returned his kiss. She wasn't really surprised that he was greeting her in this way, but her stomach gave something of jolt. They'd done this many times during the last couple of weeks, but she still had trouble believing that Aaron Hartman liked her.
Aaron urged her into a deeper kiss, enjoying the mixture of how she tastes with the fruity flavor of her lip gloss. His right hand wove into her blonde locks while his other rested on her hip and pulled her closer to him.
After several minutes of saying hello, Aaron pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. The smile on his face and his heavy breathing should show that he really liked her, as well as kissing her.
"Mmm...cherry," he murmured licking his lips. Aaron was grinning as he thought about how, with any hope, he was not going to be actually watching any of the movies he picked out later.
Ashleigh didn't protest in the slightest when he deepened the embrace. Her wrapped loosely around his shoulders, and she allowed him to pull her closer as their lips worked together. Her heart was pounding in her chest, but she didn't think that was a bad thing. She enjoyed kissing him, after all.
She was breathing quite heavily when he pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. It sounded ridiculous, but his greeting had left her feeling a little punch drunk. Which is why she was confused when he began to murmur about cherry...
Not realizing that he was talking about her lipgloss, her face and neck warmed into a crimson blush. "Yo.. you could tell that I.. I'm a... b.. by just kissing me?" she stammered.
"What do you..." he trailed off chuckling lightly when he understood what she was asking. It had taken him a second or two to understand but he couldn't help the amused smile on his face.
"I was referring to the way you taste like cherries baby," Aaron explained, trying to not look too amused. Could you blame him though?
Ashleigh had thought that she wasn’t capable of blushing any brighter. She was proven wrong when he told her that he’d been referring to the way she tasted, though. That was... she was such an idiot. Of course he’d been talking about her lip gloss. How could she have thought he was talking about anything else?
“Oh,” she answered. “Right. Yeah. My lip gloss.”
She was blushing so hotly that she was certain her ears were going to melt off the sides of her head, but she tried to ignore it. Unfortunately, she couldn’t shake the thought that he probably thought she was a moron.
He didn't think moron once. It was amusing and cute. It spoke volumes about her that only had him more attracted to her. The confirmation that she was still a virgin was also incredibly hot.
Aaron grabbed her hand and led her into the living room. He popped in one of the movies, not really sure what it was or what it was about. Mostly because he didn't really plan on actually watching what was on the screen. He was far more interested in tasting the cherry flavored lips belonging to Ashleigh.
He moved over to the couch and settled in next to her as the previews played. His arm slipped around her shoulders and he looked over at Ash.
"I made sure I had plenty of cookies on hand," he said, pointing to several kind of cookies on the coffee table.
Ashleigh chewed nervously at her bottom lip when he took her by the hand and led her into the living room. He didn't seem to be bothered by her idiocy, but she continued to beat herself up about it. How could she have asked him something so stupid? She probably looked like a freak.. an insane freak.
A million thoughts ran through her head as she waited patiently for him to put a movie into the player, and when he finally came to sit beside her, she flashed him a sheepish grin. The arm that wrapped around her shoulder reassured her a bit, though, and she managed a larger smile when he told her that he had plenty of cookies on hand.
"Thank you," she answered.
Seconds later, she leaned forward and snagged a cookie off of the plate closest to her. A soft hum built within her chest when she took a bite of it, and she flashed him another smile.
"They're very good."
"Your welcome," he said, grinning at her. Over the time that Aaron had started showing an interest in Ashleigh he had learned to always have cookies on hand. They were her favorite, so he always had some on hand.
"I'm glad you like them," Aaron told her. "I picked them up for you."
He slouched back into the couch getting comfortable as the movie started. Aaron positioned his body so that she could get comfortable too. Just in case his new position wasn't enough of a clue, Aaron tugged lightly at her hand.
What was a movie night without cuddling and making out?
The corners of her mouth pulled into a large smile when he told her that he'd gotten the cookies for her. She couldn't explain it, but she liked hearing that she was special... that he'd gone out of his way to do something for her.
"Thanks," she murmured a second time.
It didn't take her very long to finish the cookie. Once she had, though, she fidgeted for a moment before slipping her shoes off of her feet and pulling them up onto the sofa with her. A moment later, he was tugging at her hand, and she shifted so that she was leaning against his side. The way they were sitting wasn't exactly comfortable, but that was only because she was insanely nervous.
If she was uncomfortable like this, the other positions he could think of would probably make her even more so. He, however, was completely at ease. It was a Saturday night and he had a sexy blonde at his side and a house to themselves. Everything was pretty great from where he was sitting.
He idly traced patterns on her shoulder as he paid attention to the beginning of the movie. Aaron kept sneaking not so subtle glances at Ashleigh. The only thing his brain could focus on was her and thinking about her cherry flavored lips. He was a teenage boy after all. Could he really be blamed for his far from pure inner thoughts?
Other positions? If these other positions put them any closer together, he was right in thinking that they would make her even more uncomfortable. In fact, they would probably turn her into a babbling, blushing mess. She could tell that he was completely at ease with the way they were cuddled together, but that only served to make her even more nervous. It meant that he was experienced, after all, and she was the exact opposite of experienced.
A shiver ran down her spine as his fingertips moved over her shoulder. It took her a moment to realize that he was stealing the occasional glance in her direction. Once she had, though, she couldn't help but look at him every time he looked at her.
Her cheeks warmed with another blush when their gazes locked, and she bit down on her bottom lip. Why was he so freaking attractive? For goodness sake, he was almost as good-looking as Ed. Almost.
Oh they would have brought them much, much closer. Her lack of experience was one of the attractive things about her. It meant that he could teach her and show him things the way that he liked them. He also hoped to show her things, help her try things and be the first one.
When she blushed when they locked gazes Aaron didn't turn back to the television this time. He shifted so that he could face her. He leaned in slowly, pressing his lips to hers.
Kissing Ashleigh was far better than watching the movie.
She closed her eyes and exhaled softly through her nose as their lips brushed together. Kissing him was... amazing, for lack of a better word. She was certain that she would never get tired of it. His lips had an oddly addicting, salty-sweet flavor, and she found herself humming softly as she followed him into the embrace.
"Mmmm..."
After a moment, she shifted onto her side and rested her hand on his chest. Like him, she found herself thinking that this was definitely far better than watching the movie.
To say that Aaron was enjoying his movie date with Ashleigh was an understatement. He was really glad that she'd come over.
They had the house to themselves for a change. It wasn't often he could plan around his siblings or bribe them to be elsewhere so Aaron was definitely enjoying his alone time with his date.
His hand inched up her body over her clothes. It wasn't planned or a conscious move on his part. It's just where his hand had started to explore.
Like Aaron, Ashleigh was enjoying their date. When she'd come over, she hadn't known that they were going to spend the evening like this, but she wasn't about to complain. She enjoyed feeling wanted, after all, and that was definitely how she felt when he kissed her.
A heartbeat later, his hand began to inch up her side. Deep down, she knew that she should probably tell him to stop, but she didn't want to do that. Who could blame her for that, though? He felt good. Why would she want to put an end to what they were doing?
Telling herself that she could always stop him if he tried to go any further, she shifted a little closer and nibbled at his bottom lip. Her heart was pounding out of her chest, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
When she didn't stop him, Aaron was relieved. They were having fun and what they were doing certainly felt good.
Aaron had no idea how long they'd been...ignoring the movie. It was easy to lose track of time when he was kissing Ashleigh.
His hand left her chest, moving to her back side. He urged her closer, as if there was even a tiny bit if space between them. Aaron's hand slipped underneath her shirt this time and moved up her body a second time.
If it wasn't obvious to her now how much he wanted her, how hot he thought she was...well he didn't know what else could convince her.
Ashleigh stiffened when his hand slipped underneath her shirt. She tried her best to ignore the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. That was almost impossible when his hand began to inch up her body, though.
As ridiculous as it sounded, no one had ever touched her quite like that. She'd made out with her fair share of boys, of course, but she'd always made the stop when they'd pushed for anything more than a kiss. As much as she liked Aaron, he was not going to be the exception to that rule.
Moments later, she pressed a hand into his chest and pulled away. "Aaron," she gasped softly. "We should... we should st... slow down..."
Though she wasn't willing to go any father, she was reluctant to put an end to what they were doing. She didn't want him to stop liking her, after all.
Aaron had been enjoying what they were doing. His brain had stopped thinking and he'd been going with the moment. He was enjoying what they were doing after all. And Ashleigh was incredibly sexy. It wasn't his fault his hands wanted to wander and explore that sexy body of hers.
Well that certainly changed the mood a little bit.
Aaron exhaled loudly as she pulled back. It was involuntary and happened before he could stop it. His hands dropped down, leaving her shirt and falling to her sides. He didn't mind stopping.
"It's okay. We can restart the movie if you want," he suggested, changing position slightly.
His heavy sigh might have been involuntary, but it made Ashleigh feel absolutely horrible. She wasn't trying to upset him. She was just... no one had ever touched her like that, and she wasn't sure that she wanted him to be the first. They weren't even dating.
"I.. I.. I di.. didn't say we had t.. to stop," she stuttered nervously. "I just... I've ne.. never... I.. I don't want t.. to move too fast. Yo.. you know?"
She began to chew at her bottom lip when he shifted away from her, but she followed his well set example and put a little space between them.
"We could... if yo... if that's what you want t.. to do, we could do that..."
Ashleigh was worried that he was going to lose interest if she didn't give him what he so obviously wanted, but she tried to push that thought out of her head. After all, her father would tell her that he wasn't worth it if he stopped liking her over something like that.
Aaron would have classified them as dating. Not being in a relationship, but dating. He had asked her out to parties, movies, etc. He sought her out during lunch, given her rides to school.
"I know. It's okay," Aaron answered. He ran a hand through his hair. He didn't really know what else to say. He wouldn't mind doing what they were doing, but his hands seemed to want to wander places that Ashleigh obviously didn't want them too.
"We can do whatever you want, baby," Aaron said. He would be okay with watching the movie, you know for real this time. Or for spending a lot more time making out. He wasn't losing interest, but he would be even happier with his exploring that perfect body of hers.
That was a poor choice of words. They were dating, but they weren’t in a relationship. Though she felt somewhat guilty for making him stop, she wasn’t going to do something like that when they weren’t in a relationship. After all, she wasn’t the kind of girl that hooked up with guys she didn’t care about.
“We... we can watch the movie,” she answered nervously.
Truth be told, she would’ve enjoyed spending the next couple of hours kissing him, but she didn’t want to lead him on. Not to mention, she hated feeling as though she’d somehow disappointed him. She got enough of that from her mother.
"Whatever you want, baby," he repeated, sliding a little closer to her since she'd put space between them. Aaron probably sounded a little more like himself by now. He wasn't frustrated with her. It was just frustrating to put the brakes on what they were doing when he wanted Ashleigh. She was sexy and all he could think about was his hands moving over her body.
He certainly didn't want her to go or to not kiss her. Aaron very much enjoyed kissing and touching Ashleigh. Anyone who didn't was outside their mind, at least if you asked him. It was why he didn't want to stop. He was very much attracted to the blonde sitting with him.
Aaron restarted the movie and tugged Ashleigh to him. He wrapped one arm around her and smiled at her. He certainly didn't want what happened to ruin their night. |
