Negotiations
Einmyria was always happy to come to Migard and didn't understand why Sif disliked it so much. The place was full of wonder and so unlike Asgard. The people and their things were fascinating to Einmyria and she always wanted to spend more time studying them. There was also chocolate to savor. Chocolate was always worth the trip to Migard.

Today she wasn't here to look around and wonder at all the sights. Today she was here because her daughter wanted to marry and there were negotiations to do. Einmyria knew she would have to eventually do this for one of her seven children, she just never thought it would be for Svalin. She loved Svalin as if she were one of her biological children, but Einmyria had never ever thought Svalin would get married. Let alone ever have children.

Einmyria came to New York with Svalin to see Vernique and meet her mother. Once introductions were done and pleasantries exchanged, Svalin and Vernique left while Einmyria and Janet sat down to negotiate a dowry.

	Having not seen her in years, Janet was very glad to to be properly re-introduced to Einmyria again. "I have to admit," Janet says, "I only got the abridged version of the rules here. What qualifies as a dowry: money only, or can it be something more interesting?" (Reply to this)(Thread)

Einmyria was very glad it was Janet. The woman was understanding and patient when it came to dealing with Asgardian stuff. The woman had planned Einmyria's Migard wedding.

"It doth not always hath to be money," Einmyria answered. "To be honest, we doth not need money. It couldst be something symbolic. A family heriloom or e'en enow stocks in the company to be considered a shareholder, e'en a silent one. Or e'en a residence here on Migard."

Einmyria detached a very heavy purse from her belt and placed it on the table. "This ist gold to prove that mine daughter canst support a wife and a child."

She doth get a stipend from the Defenders here on Migard to support her family and in Asgard she wilt be able to provide a house, food, clothing and protection. All material assets wilt belong to thine daughter save for Svalin's weapons, horse and if she e'er builds a ship."
