On Wrongs Swift Vengeance Waits
Wrath, being the most feared of the seven, led the ceremony in the abandoned warehouse. The seven demons stood around Harold Jenkins and chanted while their followers stood in a circle around them. Harold was a criminal of the worst sort and had just finished killing a family of four when the demons grabbed him and offered him great power. They chanted along with their demon masters.

Wrath held the Medallion of Power and with it they would being a new Vengeance into the world. This one would serve them and their goals and hopefully distract the Ghost Rider and his companions. The city wasn't big enough for the demons and the Champions and New Orleans was the perfect city for them. Vegas was too showy and over the top for most their tastes.

The voice rose in volume until the ceremony reached it's climax. There was a bright burst of flame around Harold and when it died down Vengeance stood in place.

"Go," Wrath said. "Your job is just beginning. There is a city awaiting you. We have even provided you a motorcycle."

Vengeance nodded and climbed onto the waiting bike. The bike roared to life and Vengeance rode out of the warehouse.

Vengeance tears off into New Orleans proper, seeking sinners to punish. There are so many about that he knows he will be busy for a very, very long time.

His chains unwind and reach out to snare the nearest of a group of young men, wrapping around his throat as the bike screeches to a halt.

"Did you think I wouldn't find you? Did you think I wouldn't /know/? Your sins are as clear as the eyes in your head. You lure young women in and poison them with drugs in order to fulfill your depraved fantasies.

You will be judged." Vengeance snarls, pulling the young man close enough to look into his eyes and visit upon him all the horrors he has visited upon others.

Argo and Harmony are heading home from their date when they come across the scene. It had been an entirely enjoyable evening. Dinner out and then a movie, followed by the possibility of other entertaining activities when they reached home.

It looks now as though those will have to wait.

"I like not the look of this," Argo tells her. "It would appear our plans must be placed on hold."

He steps forward. "What, ho, Demon! The Son of Hercules would have words with you!"

	Irina had been in her favorite bar when the commotion in the street was heard even over the noisy bar. She downed her shot of vodka, slapped some money on the table and then ran for the door. Knives appeared in her hands as she stepped into the street. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Harmony twitched a little, something about the presence being physically painful. She wasn't sure what that was about but what she was sure about was that there was enough noise that she could draw on which is what she did. The head with the flaming skull turns, slowly and deliberately, in Argo's direction. Vengeance did not know why a god wished to interfere in the affairs of mortals, but he would brook no such thing.

"This is not your fight, Son of Hercules. These beings of sin and iniquity must be pay penance for their transgressions. You would be wise not to champion them." he says.

Stand aside. I will not offer you another chance." Vengeance speaks, even as his head turns as though he hears something in the distance.

Here? Could /he/ truly be /here/ and allow such sin to thrive?

The chain around the man's neck began to squeeze.

Vengeance sees the Olympian coming and commands his chain to release the humans throat. He will not suffer being attacked by anyone in the carrying out of his duty.

The chain licks out toward Argo's ankle, attempting to drop him through the portal being created.

When Ghost Rider arrives, however, Vengeance's attention settles on the other rider from Hell.

"I was released to do the work of punishing sinners. A duty which you have been derelict in. How can you allow such evil and corruption to /fester/ before you with no answer?" Vengeance asks, clearly puzzled.
