Happy Birthday Eliza!
Anya loved birthdays. She loved shopping for people and loved watching their reactions when they opened their gifts. Eliza was always hard to shop for, but Anya had tackled the problem with gusto. Anya had selected a new uniform made of some new fabric developed by Stark Inc. It would withstand knives and bullets.

She had also selected a diamond and ruby tennis bracelet.

She suited up and flew down to New Orleans.

Eliza had tried to not make a fuss over her birthday. She was nineteen this year. Was it such a big deal? She wasn't sure but she was getting back into classes and was trying to force herself to get through an ethics class she had to take.

Which was why she was going to take a break to have some sweet tea and hopefully be able to call her parents. She wondered what Anya was up to today absently as she pondered just what to do for lunch.

Or she. Eliza brightened and would have tackled Anya to the ground if the suit didn't prevent that.

The faceplate slid open and Anya smiled. "Happy Birthday! Beware Starks bearing gifts."

Anya entered. "I come bearing birthday presents from me and Mom."

"Well I don't see you carrying a scantly clad man so it can't be a cabana boy," Eliza teases as she lets Anya in.

Though that would be a fun gift.

"You didn't ask for one," Anya said as she placed the gifts she had been carrying on the floor. The armor opened and collapsed down into a suitcase. The black bodysuit she wore started to change and shifted into a pair of jeans a blouse. Boots formed on her feet.

She hugged her sister. "Happy birthday."

"Next time I'll ask." She is grinning widely now though. The show of technology doesn't even phase her at this point. Stark stuff is always going to be fancy. Eliza hugs Anya right back.

"Thanks. I'm glad it's on a weekend this year."

"I'll put it on the master list of gifts to get people," Anya said with a chuckle. She picked up the gifts. "From me and Mom."

Tasha and Dad had gotten Eliza earrings and a necklace that matched the bracelet. Along with a pair of boots, a new gun and two new knives.

"She would have come, but Nick caught a little cold and she didn't want to travel with him."

"You have a master list?" That had her smirking slowly.

"Oh. They're lovely!" Deep down Eliza liked shiny things. The boots were awesome too.

"I did need a new gun, actually. There's this spring on my other gun that doesn't seem to be working just right."

A look of concern passed over her face. "Will Nick be okay?"

"Of course I do," she said. "Just in case I need a last minute gift or something."

"Nick is fine. It's a little cold, but Mom's being a little overprotective. She said she would visit as soon as Nick shakes it."

Anya looked around. It looked like the Champions had really settled in. "How are things down here?"

"Oddly quite," Eliza admits. "I suspect something's up. But I'm not wholly certain yet. Something is always up, ya know?"

She shrugged and smiled. She was confident they could deal with it. They were the Champions.

"We're better. I just find I really dislike gods who think they know what's best for my team."

"I'm fine. Aside from having to tell people I'm not interested in dating." Eliza rolls her eyes.

"I'm holding out hope. If you can have Steve back we can have the others."

She is able to admit now that she is in love with Iason. There has been enough distance for her to be practical.

She has plans for her boyfriend. She has missed him far too much.

He returns the hug. "Its good to see you, Anya. I'll look forward to talking to you more later - though I believe there's some others back at the mansion who would be happy to see you as well."

He then looks back to Eliza. "Good to hear. I'm glad I didn't miss the date entirely."

With that she went to put her suit on and fly home.

Irina left a wrapped present on Eliza's bed. She had gotten Eliza a beautiful red silk dress from China and a silk nightgown and robe. Along with a pair of fuzzy slippers.

Shopping did not come easily for the Son of Hercules, but Argo soldiered on, eventually settling on gift certificates to some of the local businesses he knew Eliza frequented.
